It makes the food last longer on the freezer and allow them to keep a fresh taste. I love how compact it is and easy to use. I highly recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is truly a great gadget.This is my first vacuum sealer and I literally blown away with the fact that how useful it is.The sealer came well packed. I find this unit easy to use and a real money saver now as groceries are so expensive. It does a great job, quickly removing air and sealing snugly. It makes food much easier to keep in the freezer and not get freezer burn. I love being able to seal things and pop them in the freezer for later use.I can keep my salad ingredients longer in the fridge and my frozen berries and meats do not get the ice build up on them. It works well because we simply divide up the meat in correct portions, vacuum pack and freeze.Another great thing I loved about it -it’s weight and size .It is small and lightweight so doesn’t take much space on your counter top,it fits in my kitchen cabinet easily when not in use.A few vacuum bags were provided to get you started. Also a 8ft * 11 inch vacuum bag roll came with it.You need to cut out from roll as per your desired length and seal one end. The bags are nice and heavy.I've had it about a month and not only did it help me make more room, but it also has helped me keep the vegetable and fruit fresh. Overall I am super happy with this vacuum sealer. It is small, easy to store. I was pleasantly surprised how well this unit worked. I would definitely recommend this unit to everyone especially to the people with limited space !!

I love the fact that when I buy large amount of ground beef or steak that I can break apart the packaging and separate them for smaller amount of usage. perfect product for large families

I've previously had FoodSavers and they worked great for sealing everything, including jars, until they finally gave out.. Just purchased this model today primarily for sealing jars. Well, I tried to use it when I got home and the accessory hose doesn't even fit into the hole where it is suppose to go. It is too small, won't stay in place and falls out. Even if I try to hold it in place, it will not seal. I am using the correct jars, lids and FoodSaver accessory that goes over the jar/lid. I am returning this and will probably get a different brand. Plus the instructions are terrible!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The FoodSaver VS1210 Space Saving Vacuum Sealer is super easy to use once you get the hang of it. By that I mean making sure the bag is in the proper spot before sealing or using the vac feature. There were times where I would notice it wasn't vacuuming out the air, in that case I just opened up the top and re-positioned the bag and it worked again. I really like that it comes with bags to get you started on the process which allows you to learn how to use the bags and also cutting and sealing to make your own bags using the rolls. It comes with a little hose too just in case you have to Foodsaver containers. Its very slender and doesn't take up much room on the counters.
