This sausage is precooked and can be eaten plain as bologna.  Works well in most recipes.

Good but too salty to eat alone.  I have used it in dishes such as gumbo and decreased the salt called for in the recipe.

Tasty but too salty

Perfectly packed for the freezer.  Love the sausage and appreciate it packed so I can just throw it into the freezer and take out each one as needed.

These things are super salty, idk if it was a bad batch but they are super salty. Will never buy agsin

Heart attack sausage

Love Hillshire beef sausage. Put these on your BBQ smoker and it takes them to another level. Can't go wrong with these.

Thought I was getting the little smokies: NOT! But no big deal, sliced them on the diagonal and threw them in with the BarB Q sauce and it was fine!!

Love this sausage

Quality has changed and hopefully we've only had a couple bad batches. I don't think I'll try again. The sausages are so full of fat that many of them had a complete channel of fat running through the middle. I understand this is smoked sausage but the amount of congealed fat has been sickening.

Quality has changed and not for the better

Good tasting sausages, not too salty. Already cooked, just need to cut up and warm up or pan fry for a little sear. They don't need any oil. And they last a really long time, so a lot of times this is our back up protein option for meals if we haven't had a chance to pick up fresh meat or poultry.
