I am beyond frustrated with Turbo Tax. We had to file for our LLC, a C-Corporation and our personal taxes. When I went through the online tutorial it said we needed the desktop version for all three. I had to amend our personal return, purchase the business instance of the desktop version. It was a completely different experience than i am used to with Turbo Tax. I don't understand why there isn't a better experience for C-Corps.

Unable to import Quickbooks Online data and spent several hours trying to convert back to Quickbooks desktop but could not open the converted QBW file. Used the file doctor and tools with no success, so I eventually had to manually enter all corporate expenses. Intuit needs to fix compatibility of Quickbooks Online and Turbotax Desktop business if they are going to continue to push their customers to use their online services. I will be looking for other tax software next year since the Intuit ecosystem is broken for many years without any incentive for Intuit to fix the incompatibility issue.

Everything was fine until I started doing the Virginia State tax input. Took me longer to correct faulty information on state worksheets regarding in state vs. non resident owner. Explanation of why it could not be filed electronically was very poor and overrides led to more errors being recognized. It was a real mess. Had same problem last year for 2024.

Turbo Tax for Business was relatively easy to use, was accurate and had easy to use features. The only issue we had related to access to tax help on certain forms. It would have been nice to get directly through Turbo Tax, instead we had to go to the IRS and CA Franchise Tax Board for answers

How is it possible that a multi-billion dollar company is not able to: 1) Offer Turbo Tax Business Desktop for Trusts with a MAC APPLE HARDWARE/SOFTWARE OPTION!!! 2) Offer the ability to be able to IMPORT FINANCIAL INFORMATION FROM MAJOR BROKERAGE FIRMS!!! EVERY TRUST IS HELD BY A FINANCIAL INSTITUTION SO YOU NEED THE ABILITY TO SIMPLY IMPORT THIS COMPLEX INFORMATION!!!

This was my first time preparing and filing a partnership tax return (Form 1065), and I was honestly nervous about making mistakes. The navigation is clear, the instructions are easy to follow, and the system keeps everything organized. For someone doing this for the first time, TurboTax turned what could have been a stressful process into something manageable and even educational. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a structured, user-friendly way to prepare their taxes.

The live expert was great. Very professional. Working with your website, trying to download the software, was a nightmare. A completely frustrating and unnecessary time waster. I had to call customer support just to purchase and download the software. It was ridiculous. Fix this.

Utilized turbo tax business for first time for LLC filling. It was straight forward and simple. I did Federal and bought State as well. I used chatgpt Go version to clear some doubts for question as some Q will be tricky and their language is not easily understandable. One particular thing about I didn't like was the way Turbo tax s/w was forcing to take some deduction as a my LLC was eligible due to first year. When asked same Q to chatgpt and other gpts it was not a good idea and rather take regular deduction which will spread into 5 years.

TurboTax Business is not very user-friendly, especially for first-time filers. Many steps are confusing and not clearly explained, and when errors appear, they are difficult to correct without clear, step-by-step guidance. For example, the New York IT-204-LL $25 filing fee was not clearly distinguished from income tax, and the software stated that no payment was required without clearly indicating whether the fee had been scheduled or needed to be paid separately. This lack of clarity makes the filing process unnecessarily stressful.

Really terrible buggy interface that sends you in loops, instructs you to go to menus, and is just extremely unclear to navigate. It identifies things as errors that aren't errors and provides excessively vague explanations of important items. The software makes navigating the process far more nerve wracking than it has to be and doesn't give you a heads up about what is coming next. The support is not bad, but I only needed it because the software is terribly designed and implemented.
