I have been using Turbo Tax for over 21 years doing mine and my family's taxes. I also use Turbo Tax Business for our salon. I have never had any problems and when I did this year the support person stayed on the phone for an hour until he got the problem resolved.

Using the Turbo Tax for Business was seamless. I didn't need to ask questions this time, but I'm hoping when I do, that the answers will go through an AI platform, similar to ChatGPT.

I use Turbotax Business Desktop because I can choose between guided entry and putting numbers directly into the forms. The guided entries are mostly good but sometimes they will fail to bring up topics that I know need to be addressed or have a programing error that I can get around by direct entry. This year there were no glaring issues when doing a C corporation Federal return. On the other hand, the State tax returns, despite costing $55 each, are generally very poor when it comes to conformity adjustments and do no more than tell you that there could be needed adjustments and force you to research them yourself with no guidance. The same has always been true for the personal tax returns. I had issues with the software updating and hanging up the computer (twice) but that was resolved by re-booting a couple of times. I have no issue with the accuracy of calculations. I would not use Turbotax's online versions because, like Quickbooks (also owned by Intuit), they are vastly inferior to the desktop versions from a usability and speed perspective, plus, they are a prime example of putting all the eggs in a single basket. I have used Turbotax for at least the last 25 years because it does get the job done and, when you can find a support person, they have been helpful.

If you are filing business taxes for an LLC in the District of Columbia, there is no other choice than to file with this software. It is not as good a user interface as the online version, but the online version is not an option for small businesses in the District of Columbia. TurboTax, get it together and add District of Columbia to your business tax filing online software application. I had to borrow a friend's Windows PC to file my taxes with the desktop software because I only have Apple products for myself and my business.

Good product, have used it for years. Would love it if this would sync with QuickBooks On-Line, disappointed to see that the recommended future year depreciation and amortization calculator was removed.

The way nondeductible expenses are handled on Schedule M-1 and M-2 was a little cumbersome. But I got through it. The way the input works left my tax return with an out of balance diagnostic. I was able to resolve it.

It is hard to use without Tax knowladge - Why don't you provide the simple accounting module to book keeping the customized income / expense recording system which the customer keep recording the number whcih is the same format of the TurboTax input - Just add accumulable input fields whcih will be totalling at end of the year and at that time all tax report is done with some more data like w2, 1099, Div etc.

I had a very difficult time this year with making TurboTax understand that our business partners split profits/losses at different percentages than our equity percentages. This seems like it would be very common, and TurboTax should be able to handle this situation easily. I had to do research and manually adjust the percentages while TurboTax was in "Form" mode.

The experts make a genuine effort to help. But the automated system on the way to get live support is terrible and very frustrating. Several times, in spite of being entitled to live support and having a support ID, the system attempts to sell me support services... ; only after trials it advances - and having me spend 15 minutes spelling my name. Very bad experience.

It took me 2 hours to file a no-tax-due return. Logging in to purchase your State product was a hairy hassle. After going through the return check process twice as recommended, I was again forced to check just before the e-file. I've been using your services for years. I'm coming to the end of that.
