Turbo tax business is great! I've been using it for the last 5 years and it's been great! However, I'm on a Mac so had to download a VMWare in order to use it in Windows, a bit of a hassle at first but no big deal. It would be great if the Business version is MAC compatible.

Form 8825 Schedule A should be included in the forms to print or pdf. I have to specifically select that form to print/save separately. Also, I don't like that I can't add all the detailed expenses on the screen so I had to lump a bunch of expenses together in form 8825 line 21B "All other deductions" e.g. meals, home office expenses, office supplies, internet, cell phone, software, tax prep, tools... I'd like to have an audit trail of the detailed expenses rather than trying to figure out what I lumped together - especially while preparing the following year's tax return.

Overall, I like the questionnaire format of the program. I think it could be improved in the199A input areas and if sales of businesses were better explained. It was difficult to know how to get section 4797 to come up through the interview process. You could totally miss it unless you know it had to be reported. Also, with the asset sale, Form 8594 had to be created manually. I had to go to Copilot AI questions for many functions to work this year.

It's hard to navigate from the questions to the actual forms, and back again. I couldn't see where the program explained why I couldn't file the Amended Return online. The IRS allows for online filing of amended returns, especially if the original return was filed electronically.

I have been a long, long, long time user of TurboTax both in business and personal. The software is user friendly, accurate and reliable. I have often times recommended the service to many, many, others. I have seen changes over the years, most great. But the underhanded way that TurboTax gets you locked into using ExpertAssist of whatever you call it should be illegal. In my most recent interaction, I would swear that I never clicked anything in this regard, but after doing all the work with my business taxes, and with a tight deadline approaching when I click to pay there it was. With no option to downgrade with nothing. Try as I might I was not able to downgrade, never mind that I never used this option once through the entire process. In the least, if the system sees that you never used it, there should be an option to remove. Why would I pay more than twice the price for something that I never used. Needless to say, I did not pay it, and missed the approaching deadline, and then had to start over with the Desktop option. This is more of a review on the company's practices. This is not the actions of a company that is honest and fair to their customers. It is way to underhanded and in a deliberate way almost. I believe if TurboTax continues to see their numbers fall this would be the main reason why. Shame on you guys! I would not recommend this company and therefore its products to anyone.

Takes too long to complete returns. If you go back to a step, you have to answer the questions again. It would be nice if when you go back it remembers your answers, sometimes it does but most of the time it doesn't. Also, most questions are on the top left of the screen and the next button is on the bottom right, takes too long to complete.

The fact that Turbo tax business desktop does not allow the import of QBO file makes work go very inefficient. it some products are not compatible with each product intuit offers, it must be posted clearly so that customers can read it before they purchase products.

worst experience ever. cant "jump" to a speicifc screen. bugs with deleting lines. no support (unless extra payment is made) hard to navigate in turbo tax tooooo many non relevant questions the relevant questions are not properly explained pulling info frm last year should be already direct to the same format withut asking questions again (like carryover and beginnimg balances

TurboTax Business interface and user experience have not been updated for many years. Things are often outrageously buried in different places - hard to find and hard to achieve. A lot of screens have absolutely no guidance or help, so unless you know the entire tax law by heart, you would need to spend a week reading to find all the information. Even using AI for help cannot ease the process much. There is no search. Clicking on the "Search" button opens a completely useless chat that is never even a bit relevant. If it miraculously finds a relevant topic, then the link to it is broken. In forms mode, where you eventually end up, as the step-by-step is often useless, there are fields all over with absolutely no labels or explanation - just input boxes that you have to figure out if you can. It is 2026, yet TurboTax doesn't see it as necessary to even make all states compatible for e-filing - I had to snail mail my MN state return.

Purchased the 2025 Business desktop version and all forms I needed to file were not available (eg Form 8846). Was told by support that it was available online but not for desktop. How can it be that forms needed by the IRS to file a business return are not available in tax filing software package for business?
