Works fairly well overall all but lacking user friendly features such as being able to edit or change the PDF attachment(s) to be sent with the return when doing an efile transmittal. This is basic and should be an easy feature to include in the event attached the wrong pdf or include a manually created extension form. Also, pulling the plug on the program working with Windows 10 is an insult because not everyone upgraded to Windows 11 and it does not make sense to have to purchase a new computer in order to file taxes.

I have been a long, long, long time user of TurboTax both in business and personal. The software is user friendly, accurate and reliable. I have often times recommended the service to many, many, others. I have seen changes over the years, most great. But the underhanded way that TurboTax gets you locked into using ExpertAssist of whatever you call it should be illegal. In my most recent interaction, I would swear that I never clicked anything in this regard, but after doing all the work with my business taxes, and with a tight deadline approaching when I click to pay there it was. With no option to downgrade with nothing. Try as I might I was not able to downgrade, never mind that I never used this option once through the entire process. In the least, if the system sees that you never used it, there should be an option to remove. Why would I pay more than twice the price for something that I never used. Needless to say, I did not pay it, and missed the approaching deadline, and then had to start over with the Desktop option. This is more of a review on the company's practices. This is not the actions of a company that is honest and fair to their customers. It is way to underhanded and in a deliberate way almost. I believe if TurboTax continues to see their numbers fall this would be the main reason why. Shame on you guys! I would not recommend this company and therefore its products to anyone.

No e-filing for Oregon. When printing the Oregon OR-20-S it includes the local Portland and Multnomah County business tax Form SC. THIS IS INCORRECT, SLOPPY! The form does NOT get sent to the State. TurboTax geniuses: Will you correct this for 2026, PLEASE?

Information and amounts do not always get transferred over correctly from the previous year. TurboTax needs to find a way to automatically switch from printing portrait to landscape when necessary (example: the depreciation report). Step by step mode does not always follow in a logical manner. It skips some follow up questions.

It really helped with NOL's which I had never worked with before. In prior years we used an accounting firm and I didn't see all the behind the scenes stuff. The only improvement I would like is to be able to upload the prior years form and have it reference that for the current year.

Form 8825 Schedule A should be included in the forms to print or pdf. I have to specifically select that form to print/save separately. Also, I don't like that I can't add all the detailed expenses on the screen so I had to lump a bunch of expenses together in form 8825 line 21B "All other deductions" e.g. meals, home office expenses, office supplies, internet, cell phone, software, tax prep, tools... I'd like to have an audit trail of the detailed expenses rather than trying to figure out what I lumped together - especially while preparing the following year's tax return.

It's hard to navigate from the questions to the actual forms, and back again. I couldn't see where the program explained why I couldn't file the Amended Return online. The IRS allows for online filing of amended returns, especially if the original return was filed electronically.

The fact that this product does not automatically connect to their own QuickBooks Online product is ridiculous. The process to get data out of QB Online and into TurboTax business is the most convoluted series of steps I can imagine. This is why I am working on moving al my accounting and payroll to other systems and will no longer use Intuit products.

Takes too long to complete returns. If you go back to a step, you have to answer the questions again. It would be nice if when you go back it remembers your answers, sometimes it does but most of the time it doesn't. Also, most questions are on the top left of the screen and the next button is on the bottom right, takes too long to complete.

The experts make a genuine effort to help. But the automated system on the way to get live support is terrible and very frustrating. Several times, in spite of being entitled to live support and having a support ID, the system attempts to sell me support services... ; only after trials it advances - and having me spend 15 minutes spelling my name. Very bad experience.
