You required me to purchase a Franchise Tax Form before I could continue with filing my federal return. then you tell me I didn't need it and to call a phone number to get a refund. Then I literally spend two hours trying to get the refund! What a racket you run here. How many people buy this every year and then just blow off the refund because it is so hard to get one!

The problem I have is that I keep getting directed to buy the wrong product. I purchased another Turbotax product first. I need the one for Trust returns, but I keep getting directed to business/personal. Now I have to try to get a refund. Ugh. The product is pretty slick after getting the right one though.

I have been using TurboTax over ten years and it has not changed or improved a bit. Same clunky interface, poor intelligence about what is appropriate for each form and carrying over information to other areas of the return, poor help to understand how different elements of the return might apply to my situation. I use it out of necessity but it makes the tax preparation process even more painful than having to pay taxes in the first place. Several times the IRS has come back with a different amount due, so I question the accuracy of TurboTax's results. It's the only thing that makes me keep a Windows PC around - why no Mac or cloud version yet? Too bad they keep lobbying the government to keep the system complicated and private to juice their business model.

Conducted Fiduciary business return for estate. Federal return was mostly good. I did have to go into the forms section to correct a few sections. Find other tax software if you want to file an estate return in Idaho too. They don't support this state and I found out at the end.

Hardest part of the process was getting my business download files--link from the e-mail I got after purchase repeatedly said "we're having a problem--try later." I did some update of my account info and eventually the link to the download worked. Would have been nice to have a more detailed error message or a way to reach some support. Only one very minor problem with my 2025 1041 return for a simple trust: on the screen for changing the address of the trustee (me), the street address was not editable--I think this is a small s/w bug. (I was able to type in the change using the Forms feature and the change seems to have propagated appropriately.) I very much appreciated the new option to e-file the 1041, and the support and guidance within the software for the steps needed to e-file. (I've had a lot of trouble -- lost returns, long delays in getting a delivery receipt, etc. -- filing a 1041 by mail in the past.)

TurboTax Business is not very user-friendly, especially for first-time filers. Many steps are confusing and not clearly explained, and when errors appear, they are difficult to correct without clear, step-by-step guidance. For example, the New York IT-204-LL $25 filing fee was not clearly distinguished from income tax, and the software stated that no payment was required without clearly indicating whether the fee had been scheduled or needed to be paid separately. This lack of clarity makes the filing process unnecessarily stressful.

I had typos on my corporate tax return. I've tried every which ways to correct the typos but the retained earning was never corrected. After trying for 3 hours, I simply deleteed the tax file and restarted from scratch. The problem with the retained earning disappeared. What the heck was going on with TurboTax?

Federal Tax features are good, but the state level is not great. Michigan MI-1041 gave little direction and did not include the necessary forms that needed to be filed by default. For the price being charged I shouldn't have to go grab forms from the IRS website because turbotax doesn't populate them, and after manually filling them out, doesn't format them correctly to be printed. And why am I even printing the Michigan MI-1041 form in the first place, because Turbotax business could not electronically file it!

I have used TurboTax deluxe edition in the past for my and my family's personal tax returns. I had to add the Business version this year for an Estate Return, and it was just as easy to use/understand as the previous version with which I was familiar.

logging in 3 times while i am already in the program to do things like buying audit defense and signing up for advantage is a total pain. why can't you have one mfa,rather than three? why do i have to log in again when i a already logged in to buy something more from you. yuk!
