Product isn't poor - what is poor is that I have to buy a Home & Business version of TurboTax to do my personal return and then spend an additional $200 to by a desktop Business version of TurboTax to file for my father's estate of which I am the Executor. It was fine the first year when there was something to it, but the last couple of years I've used funds in his estate account to pay for home insurance as my brother and I continue to go through his house. It's ridiculous to pay $200 to file an estate return which has nothing but a couple of hundred dollars in interest income and nothing more. An estate return this simple should be include with the Home and Business version I already purchased rather than me needing to buy two separate versions of TurboTax each year.

Program would not allow me to make a correction to "Federal Asset Entry Worksheet" on line relating to Special Depreciation Allowance - under Regular Tax. Error check says amount should be "blank" BUT I was unable to remove the "0" to leave it blank. Any suggestions on how to fix this error.

Very confused to use, not user friendly at all. There is a Farming issue bug needs to be fixed. Many people have the same problem, the system assumed the business is a FARM business, not sure what information the user provided caused this assumption, and there is way to tell the system otherwise, NO flag to un-check this assumption or guide to remove this problem. TurboTax really need to fix this issue.

This was my final return for an LLP that had been using TurboTax for the past 25 years. We have retired the business and one of the partners is continuing as a sole proprietor. Neither partner bought the other out. The furnishings, computers, software, supplies had little to no value and TurboTax did not allow us to revisit our evaluation of the parts and change them to make sense to us and h IRS. On return review, there were errors that could not be repaired because I could not change the data. NOT GOOD for a novice closing a business.

Several hours of troubleshooting required over 48 hours because California Fiduciary (541) taxes would not transmit. Many different possible reasons cited by TurboTax and its users - all of which apparently were not applicable. Finally was able to transmit after redoing some steps in the tax forms that had been visited multiple times - the reason for success was not apparent.

1) For 10+ years I've had to look at the startup message, "Ok, we know it's taking a little more than a moment". In all that time, seems someone could have cleaned up the code to run faster and more efficiently. 2) It's no longer the 1990s - why in 2026 do I still have to type in 1099s ?? Add import asap just like 1040

TurboTax Business would not let me efile the Texas return with the federal return and would not give a reason. I had to go online to learn that it would not be ready to efile the Texas return until March 19 but I could file the federal and reserve the Texas file to later which I did.

I am the fiduciary on a NY State trust; thus I have to file fed and ny state estate tax returns (estate = trust) Turbo tax is good on the federal form, but really really sucks on the NY form; every year there are multiple minor glitches and some major ones, that are impossible to figure out without hours of agony this year the ny form is so bad, I may need a CPA ugh

Filing got rejected because software was not up to date. Software seemed to be lacking some of the form lines and some were hidden under layers and I had to manually enter some data and didn't have the option under all layers. In my case I was going to manually enter all transactions but had to use combined transactions to find a place to enter a Line C transaction. Messy.
