Multiple issues with software updates. Lost 2 hours to uninstall and reinstall software that should have worked in the first place. Will definitely move to other software after 7 years using Turbo Tax Business. I have 20+ years of technology experience and this is simply unacceptable. Software and error check states there are no errors, I file Federal taxes and then later on when I want to save a very final version into PDF, a pop error window shows up and message states: "There is an error in your file" What? Just worst I have seen in years.

I had a real difficult time with my small S-corp that has both rental real estate and an agricultural business. I couldn't figure out how to trigger multiple K-1's (one for each business line). Having a single K1 with real estate and non-real estate business totals consolidated made it very difficult to load my personal taxes as TT Home wanted to see them split out. In the future I would like to tie my S-corp details to be imported automatically into my personal tax return. My wife file jointly and we are the only owners of the S-crorp so all of it's profit and loss comes to our personal return..

How do you file your state business taxes? Turbo Tax said "can't e-file state taxes" So how do I file my state business taxes? No explanation. I paid $55 to get state forms but I filed only my federal taxes but what about state?? Very confusing!!!! Why the heck did I have to buy state income tax forms and I can't even file them. If I can't file them using Turbo Tax then I should be refunded the money I spent on state documents. By the way, I am filing taxes for New Mexico. So....... what the heck?

I have happily used TurboTax for about 15 years. Unfortunately, this tax year (2024) the software is very "buggy". I have had to reboot my laptop several times while using it for 2024. Also some of the step-by-step screens did not allow numbers to be input (had to go directly to forms as a work-around)

I found the information about QBI to be lacking. The form for the 199 provides places to make adjustments, but there is no real help describing what kind of adjustments would be appropriate. Every year, I also have difficulty navigating the K1 worksheet. One partner comes up, but when I want to see the second partner I can't easily access it. I can access the individual K1's but not the K1 worksheet. Making changes to the captial accounts is also difficult.

I do not like the new purchase options. Being able to go to a local office supply and purchasing the cd to download was os much easier than the download only option this year. I had to call support to find out where to purchase the key to open the download. The Intuit/Turbo Tax site is not user friendly, even finding a good number to call support is almost impossible to find.

on 1.31.2024 when it was time to file my business 1099/w-2's, your program crashed and your staff said it was system wide failure....thus, I lost all my data and my staff worked overtime for several hours recreating the data. shameful...who is sending me money for their overtime and mine?

Glitchy as heck. Every year they find a new way to make your life more difficult. Sometimes the program doesn't even load, sometimes it forces me to fill out forms that aren't even relevant to me (and filling out those forms would mean lying to the IRS so you have to get comfortable switching between "Forms" and "Step-By-Step"), and it makes me re-answer questions when I go back to review, some entries (namely Inventory) won't save, and my access code didn't even work, and their contact info only knows how to send me to a tax professional instead of tech support. I really want to like Turbotax because the explanations are good for beginners (but could be better honestly) but the glitches are too frustrating to make it worth half the cost.

I prepared the final tax return for our Family Trust Form 1041. To electronically file, you have to attach Form 8453-FE. Preparing the return was straight forward, I have been using Turbo Tax for 20+ years. Finished up by scanning the needed form and attaching it to my return. I tried many, many times to transmit - over and over an error came up and told me there was an internet problem. On the second day, I decided to change my PDF default reader to Adobe (I have been using a different program for a year or two). Went through the finish up process again and it transferred just fine. I am sure specifying Adobe was the kicker. To bad I had to learn the hard way (hours wasted). Wish this was clearly stated in the documentation. All good now. Return has been transmitted successfully.

Most of the process was good and clear. But when i ran into error messages relative to the K-1 developed documents for the LLC partners - the recommended actions were not clear or detailed enough to get me going in the right direction. I had to request support to understand what was needed to correct the errors.
