The basics went great, it is a relatively simple return. There were 2 entries that continued to error, even though I verified the data and the necessary forms. I did not understand what was needed as it all looked correct based on the definitions. So I am printing and mailing the returns instead of e-filing adding cost.

Trusts unable to import 1099 from fin. institutions. This was not declared in the software's capabilities and were expected. The ability to import was reason I sought a major Tax software company. I was able to import 2023 1099 using a DIFFERENT COMPANY's PRODUCT, AND WILL USE THAT COMPANY NEXT YEAR.

Using TurboTax Business for the first time was an absolute nightmare. The software constantly required me to enter the same data multiple times just to review my work. It also kept asking for unnecessary inputs, making the process even more frustrating. The interface is clunky, and navigating through the forms is far from intuitive. Overall, it’s a poorly designed product that made filing more difficult than it needed to be. I expected a smoother experience, but instead, I wasted hours fighting with this software. Would not recommend!

Hello! I used TurboTax to file taxes for my small business, and it was relatively straightforward once I got bookkeeping in line. That's where much of the perks of TurboTax come in! However, an area for improvement would be in the help documentation for areas such as write-off categorization. Further, the UI is quite ugly and could certainly be improved upon.

I love the fact that you can easily import data from the prior year. It is fairly intuitive and has all of the forms that I need. My only request would be to see if you can work with the state of Indiana to enable the E-Filing of the state returns. This likely is determined by the state, but perhaps a little pressure would not hurt.

Turbo Tax 2024 was not able to view my previous years tax return. The message said it was corrupted. This seems to happen very often and is very frustrating. Why would a tax file sitting on my pc for a year all of a sudden be corrupted. I even tried opening with TT 2023. If this is a bug, please fix it.

Very helpful. I like the help with the K-1 Forms. However, all of the "More Information" type of links, including the one that says "File Your State Taxes Now," default to the same TurboTax main page offering to sell me TurboTax, which I already own. Also, at the end was a screen that said "Mail These Forms to the Government" but when I printed it, all I get is a cover sheet titled "Electronic Filing Instructions for your 2024 Federal Tax Returns." Am I supposed to mail that to "The Government," and if so, what address should I mail it to.

I purchased Turbo Tax Home & Business 2024 because I needed to file a return for a trust, which requires Turbo Tax Business edition. Then I learned that Turbo Tax Business is not the same as Turbo Tax Home & Business. I contacted Turbo Tax Help, and the representative gave me the business edition at no charge (great!). Unfortunately, he gave me a license for the Windows edition, and I use a Mac. Rather than contacting them again, I decided to complete the process on a Windows PC.

Be careful if you are doing a trust that is a grantor trust. The Tubo Tax system keeps defaulting to the grantor being the trustee, which is not the case in our situation. I tried repeatedly to override this default, and it kept reverting back to the grantor being the trustee. I eventually went on a forum, which explained sufficiently how to override. But this took me 2 hours longer than it should. On the forum, it also said it was a known issue.

Had a very difficult time editing form 1116. Each time I reviewed the whole return it created a new foreign tax entry. Deleting the excess was quite difficult. When will you include the South Carolina forms? Have used Turbotax since 2013, and will continue to do so.
