This package leaves a lot to be desired. I had 3 large real estate transactions that totaled $1.1 Million in gross income, but it wasn't readily apparent where to report these sales. One was reported in "sale of a home" the other transactions were reported in "investments". I"m sure most estates have real estate assets to liquidate, this program handles those transactions poorly considering the dollar impact.

I love TurboTax for my personal taxes, but the business edition is horrible. It lacks all the feature that make the home version convenient--inline explanations, detailed prompts to help you get the right information, contextual help within the application, AUTO SAVE (I had to start my deductions over again because it popped up a save window so fast that my mouse inadvertently clicked no before I could read the prompt)! The help function in the business edition is worthless, it just takes you to the homepage where then you have to spend time figuring out what options to choose that will get you to the answer you need. My business is small and my taxes are pretty simple, but now that the business is growing, I am going to have to hire a CPA--which is ironic because the whole point of this software is supposed to be to make my life easier as things get more complex, not add to the complexity.

Turbo Tax SUCKS for trust filing. It's supposed to guide you through the process and fill out the necessary forms. It should also explain terminology so people who aren't lawyers or CPAs will understand. It doesn't do any of that. I literally requires you to manually select forms you need, without offering to add them.

It was complicated to understand why one part of my deduction is in 1120s and another part is not Your explanation are not easy to understand. for me it can be better if you add examples from real life I don't understand why you can not find all my data with my ubi so i should add all information manually

Several times numbers from previous year's return didn't come through. There were also cases where last year's selections weren't showing, so you have to re-look things up (Form B2, etc.) The whole bit with form 8453-PE and the physical signing - good grief! President Bill Clinton made it so e-mail was a valid signature! AND...I still can't e-file with CO. I feel like, for the grand price you are asking for this product, it's not doing very much for me. Looking into other options. At least I didn't have to fight the activation this year, so something got fixed - thanks.

Easy to use. The rollover feature from year to year, which saves my prior year data is essential when computing gains/losses, etc. In terms of support, I use the question and answer feature on your website when researching issues. I can usually resolve my issue pretty quickly using this feature.

So I've been using TurboTax for years, it's pretty solid, downsides are form explanations can be pretty esoteric, or explanations why the IRS may need that form. Biggest complaint is it's 2025 and Intuit STILL hasn't connected Quickbooks online with Turbotax

It was pretty easy, but getting information from QuickBooks online into TurboTax was a pain in the keester. The support team didn't know how to do it, but I was able to do some research on my own and figure out a workaround. I had to find the migration tool, install a trial version of QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop, use that to import a QBXML file generated by some crazy app, then create a QBW file, then import that file into TurboTax. That's insane! And what should have taken 5 minutes took about 3 hours. Sad.

I have to admit, the desktop version is clunky and a very poor comparison to Intuit's better online product for personal and business taxes. The problem I run into every year is that my small business has income in several states and the online product isn't available for me. And most annoyingly THE ONLINE PRODUCT WON'T ACCEPT THE FILE FROM LAST YEAR MAKING ME REENTER EVERYTHING. This is so, very frustrating for someone using this product to file taxes by themselves.

This has the capability allowing me to File. I wish it would be more fleshed out as the Turbo Tax Home & Business software. With more line item guidance and explanations for clarity. Regardless. I have been using this software for over 15 years and I couldn't see myself doing the trust return without it.
