Turbo Tax worked well and quickly. Only issue I had was that I was not able to register the product. I am in Canada and the company registered address is in Canada (a US LLC). The tax system was fine with the Canadian address but the registration page would not allow a Canadian province and postal code that i could find. Also could not find a way to contact support regarding the issue.

The 1041-ES tax vouchers print even when you don't want them. If you check Complex Trust in the Information Worksheet there should be a follow-up prompt, " Is the trust required to distribute all income currently." If so, the Exemption is $300, not 100. Currently you have to override the $100 entry with $300. Would like to download the Form 1099 information from the brokerage account rather than have to enter manually.

In general TurboTax Business - Desktop is easy to use. Uploading a PDF to e-file, however, was impossible. The Locate feature wouldn't show all folders nor all compatible file types. After trying several file types and lower resolutions, the files wouldn't show. I gave up and have to file by mail. Very inconvenient. What happened Intuit? This wasn't an issue in previous years.

I could not import my QuickBooks 2021 desktop business (S-Corp) into TurboTax. I Quess this is a way for Intuit to try and FORCE you to pay the monthly fee. So much for rewarded customer who have been using Intuit Products for over 20 years. THANK YOU!!!

Most of the process was good and clear. But when i ran into error messages relative to the K-1 developed documents for the LLC partners - the recommended actions were not clear or detailed enough to get me going in the right direction. I had to request support to understand what was needed to correct the errors.

I started my review using the online version of TurboTax for our multi-member LLC. 2024 was the first year I was able to do my return online. In the past we had to download the desktop version to a PC (no valid Mac version available) for about $180. It wasn't until I was at the filing step of the online version that I learned it would be close to $600. What??! I did all the work and TurboTax wanted to charge me this much to file my taxes. I had to download the desktop version (for $190) and start over. They should have let me know the charge before getting to the end of the online version. I think it's deceptive and borderline unethical to try to hook people in, figuring that if someone does all the work to process their return, they'll just pay for this full service, which the only option. Very poor form on behalf of TurboTax

Instructions for filing state taxes not included this year. The state of Arkansas does not accept e-file for certain entities and they must be mailed. Every year the TurboTax software has included specific instructions for filing the state returns. I paid $55 for each entity and am left figuring out how to file the state for myself. Not good.

I filed an extension in March. I updated the extended tax return to issue the final return and it is telling me the tax return has already been accepted and won't let me transmit the final return. There is no help information to resolve this issue and it has created a problem on how to finish this return electronically. Still trying to figure it out.

I find TurboTax essential when self-filing a business tax return. However, there are steps which I find very difficult to understand and complete; Balance Sheet, Income and Retained Earnings reconciliation. I find that amounts entered in the 'Step by Step' questions do not always transfer correctly to individual forms. There are times when the only option is to 'over ride' data which does not provide confidence that a return has been completed correctly.

For years I've used Turbo Tax for our business and personal taxes. This year, trying to file our business taxes everything went as usual until I went to efile. I kept getting an error message saying they could not locate the file and to go back and attach it. Attach it to WHAT? It's was sitting on the desktop as always for all the previous years. I wasted over 8 hours trying to efile so now I have to mail it and incur an additional expense with not knowing that it was accepted as I do when I efile within 48 hours. VERY FRUSTRATING!
