The SW needs to: 1. Not use rounding as this causes errors that need adjustments in obscure places. 2.SW should query the user if they would like to use schedules like (M1, M2) even though they may not be required, for instance, by income. Keeping the schedules ensures that a full record is kept. Finding out that schedules can be enabled by going to forms, clicking yes instead of no is not good and causes much loss in time.

Confusing at times, but generally helpful for a small business. At times, inserts forms having no association with my business, like the Georgia IT-FC (Production Company for Movies) forms. Had to do an on-line search to determine why the forms were being inserted and how to delete.

This was a terrible experience! The program put me in an endless loop - explaining that one of the forms was incomplete, but the program did not allow me to enter the information in the form. I had to call support, and the support team member was able to overide the problem.

For years. I had a CPA do my business taxes. I always waited, biting my fingernails, for him to finish. He always seemed to be done 24 hours before the deadline, and it drove me crazy. I should have purchased turbotax business years ago. You need to understand a few accounting terms, but it is less than half the cost of my accountant, and I can complete the taxes in a timely fashion, with plenty of time to review before submitting. Wish they made a version for Apple -- this is literally the only reason I startup my Windows laptop.

Overall, Turbotax Business was helpful in preparing taxes for a multi-member LLC in a rental real estate business.. It was helpful in guiding through the various topics, preparing forms, and adding a sanity check to the overall tax preparation. There were two scenarios that didn't seem to be well supported by the user interface in step-by-step mode and required me to dig into forms mode and perform multiple overrides. This also meant that I needed to know the answer and had to figure out how to get the software to the right answer on the forms. The two scenario's were: 1) non-deductible meal expenses for rental real estate, and 2) gift transfer of LLC interests between members. The issues mainly showed up on the reconciliation schedules (L, M-1, and M-2). As a summary statement, there seemed to be more of a disconnect between the step-by-step user interface and getting information into the correct spot on the forms than I have experienced with the Turbotax Individual product set.

Had a hard time getting the program to run. Several reboots were required. Maryland download did not have the usual instruction letter with the mail to address. E-File has never worked for me so I don't even bother with that (something about a password I don't have).

I encountered too many bugs related to inputs placed in the beneficiary distributions page. I even tried to have the agent submit them for fixing. Bottom line, using Business for estate returns was not that great. Too many bugs (that cost me a lot of time diagnosing and sharing with support), not enough pop-ups to explain the fields in general, etc.

There is an error in the partner/member information tab where TurboTax asks if the member is a US citizen. Responding no to this question designates the member as a foreign partner, which in my situation was incorrect. The partner of my LLC is a legal permanent resident, but not a US citizen. This makes them a domestic partner, not a foreign partner. It appears this is a known issue that other users have faced spanning over years and TurboTax has yet to correct the question. I now need to file an amended return.

Stuck in State Download Loop again for the second year in a row. Lots of wasted time fixing. Thankfully, I was finally able to talk to an agent that was able to assist with downloading their state wiper software and then had to uninstall and reinstall turbotax business again.

THE CHANGES TO THE TAX PROGRAMS ARE A TOTAL DISGRACE. IT IS HARD TO FIND AREAS THAT WERE EASY TO FIND IN THE PREVIOUS YEARS. THE OLD SAYING 'IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT. YOU HAVE TO GO ALL OVER THE PROGRAM TO FIND THE AREA TO COMPLETE THE RETURNS AND THEN YOU HAVE THESE STUPID OPTIONS TO POP UP WITH VARIOUS CHOICES. IT WAS HARD TO FOLLOW THE PATH.
