I was frustrated to find the great features in the regular TurboTax do not exist in TurboTax Business. Mainly the ability to import 1099's and be able to efile them when filing State and Fed Taxes. I had to print out an inch and a half of paper, find a suitable box and ship it in to file. I do not understand for a more expensive product that deals with trusts why these features are missing. Both products you still have to manually go through 1099's to determine foreign dividends attached to foreign taxes paid. The step by step is more simplified to the point where many points to enter you need to click into forms. It takes a bit of massaging the data but it will get you to the point of returns you can print and send in. I f you do not have 1099's then the efile feature should work. Next year I will be checking to see what products can import and efile 1099's. I hope it will be TurboTax. I'd like to continue using it after 20 years. A Mac version would be nice too.

Not very user friendly and few edits/errors are plain wrong. You need to fix your software to account for situations when it continues to give you an error to apportion income from other states, when there was no such income reported earlier. Very frustrating experience.

Used Turbotax for Business to file an estate return and generate K-1s. Software created summary information for stock sales, but never gave me the ability to upload a copy of the 1099-B details. Also created a footnote on the K-1 regarding Section 199A revenue, but didn't give me the opportunity to supply the required statement indicated on the form. Clearly missing some needed functionality.

For the life of me I cannot understand why the more expensive business version of TurboTax cannot import tax information from financial institutions. This is something that the far less expensive personal version of TurboTax has been able to do for years.

I have had the worse experience of my life with turbo tax and intuit after 20 years of using their products. I have spent hours on the phone, spent tons on quickbooks on-line was told if I purchased the more expensive online plus that it would seamlessly transfer into turbo tax, all of it was lies they do not work together and never have, its all useless money spent to aid in preparing a business return

Have to use this to prepare and file but the integration but the federal and state returns is really awful. I had to go to form view and manually edit the state return to get all the information entered correctly. Good thing I am a CPA and have some experience preparing taxes, though not my main focus

Awful. If you have something very simple, it is ok. But if you need to do a like-kind exchange, the program makes a lot of mistakes. Also, it is very difficult to figure out where calculated numbers came from. I have used TurboTax, (business and personal) for more than 15 years; I think it was much better 10 years ago than now. In addition, I was not able to amend and e-file my previous year's federal return.

Most of the software is super easy to use. However, when I finished error checking, and then I filed the 1041, I tried to print/distribute K-1s and it said I need shareholder information. Apparently, I had selected the wrong trust type (grantor vs simple vs complex). Nowhere was this guidance provided before filing and attempting to distribute K-1s. I also called TT support three times before I received an answer why I was receiving this K-1 message (which was not discovered in the error checking process either). I also encountered problems trying to access deduction entry forms after I had nearly completed the return so I could edit an entry, a glitch also witnessed by one or two of the support people I called.

When completing the information for RP, I selected the partner that was a Trust on the K1 input sheet, however, since this entity was not an individual while trying to efile, the system required that I enter individual information that representeds the entity. Unfortunately, the turbo tax system was caught in a loop telling me to enter individual informatin, then instructing me to delete the individual information. The instructions to fix this were at best very weak. I figured out a fix. big waste of my time.

This was the first time using the Business version of the app, though I've used TurboTax for over 30 years to prepare personal tax returns. I am the administrator of an estate and needed the product to file federal and Virginia state returns. For the most part, the Business version is as easy to use as the personal but I found the embedded Help for various sections of the 1041 and its schedules to be less help than I required. Several times I needed to do internet searches to answer my questions about what particular figures needed to be reported and how it would be used. However, I found that TurboTax did an excellent job of using my inputs to complete all the necessary forms and it made it very easy to file the federal and state returns electronically.
