wasn't able to file my states taxes through desktop. I had to download an update before being able to file but luckily I had saved the turbotax file, otherwise it would have made me restart! Overall, a little clunky but gets the job done. I think I will use the online turbotax next year.

This product is quite disappointing compared to Turbotax Online, but it still got the job done. I was very frustrated with certain aspects of the program. It wasn't as helpful for me as Turbotax Online for figuring out why the balance sheet wasn't balancing. Then, the federal tax calculations were rounding retained earnings down, and the state tax calculatons were rounding retained earnings up, so it took me a while of playing with the numbers to get them to match.

It would be great if the program would support the importing and downloading of financial information directly from financial institutions. In addition the page requiring a signature is absolutely much worse than even the paying taxes. In fact it is soooo cumbersome that one seriously considers an alternate for such an expensive nonworking solution as TurboTax Business!! What an annual disappointment!

Turbo Tax always seems to have yearly annoying bugs that Turbo Tax does not openly admit to. It use to be Tax Film Credit in GA, which caused errors and not allow you to E-File. In 2024 tax year the soft ware drops what ever corporation it wants to, leaving for a process of re-installing it. Thats why the 4 star

This year's 2024 Business software was extremely more difficult to use than ANY PREVIOUS VERSION; and, I have been using the Turbotax Business software since 2012 , the year I formed my family LLC. I was very, very disappointed and almost gave up. I sincerely hope that the 2025 version is a better, and easier to use product.

1) All I need to do is file a 1041 for a trust. Many people are in this same position. Why doesn't TurboTax have a much simpler and less costly program to do this? We don't need everything else that TurboTax Business can do. 2) Why on earth is TurboTax Business unable to download the Trust information directly from my Broker, like TurboTax Premier does?!? Why, after paying so much for TurboTax Business, do I have to ferret out all those blasted numbers on the paper copy from my Broker and manually type them into the program?!? FIX THIS, please!

It's workable, and sure beats the cost of having an accountant prepare the returns. Note that there is an extra charge for the State return, and documentation on it is VERY thin. For example, there is a question about whether you need to file any other forms, but no hints about what those forms might be. I had to rely on my last year's professionally prepared return to identify needed forms. Also, I repeatedly had to google terms because there was no in-context help in the State return.

1) Federal Program is near perfect. 2) State programs may need some work. PA Partnership is not e-file eligible. Don't know if that is a TurboTax issue or State of PA problem. Also, there was an annoying e-filing issue with the NJ Partnership regarding the "Validation_Failed - Error 54" notification. Based on the TT help / support community conversations, this was a widespread issue and covered multiple state entity returns (Partnership, Trusts etc). It took 2 calls to Tech Support along with hours of research & experimentation on my part to figure out how to solve the issue. This problem has also occurred in prior years based on what I found in the community support blog. There needs to be a permanent fix to this issue.

I was surprised that a 1099-R was not included in the tax interview. Had to just input in the extra box. Also, when I purchased, I thought it stated that State was included but was not. Charging an extra $50 for the state (which was not even a state supported) and going to the IRS site to get the fiduciary state form (which was easy). I was not that impressed with turbo taxes support for Estates and Trusts.

Need a better way to import assets instead of just one at a time. Bugs. M2 Distributions use last years values, not the newly imported data. Every year 1120 3-4 balance sheet is messed up in 10a and 10b when adding in section 179. Also intangible assets include in my liabilities. Line 13c.
