Make it for Mac so I don't have to suffer the disaster of Windows UX. Also, when launching forms, you make the size of a postage stamp. It seems basic that you should give users the ability to zoom. Finally, the constant upselling throughout the filing process is incredibly annoying. It would be best to give the user the ability to select all relevant products at the start so it feels a little less like financing a used car.

We filed for a trust. The trust sold a property with funds disbursed to beneficiaries. California requires taxes to be withheld from the sale that show up on form 592-B. This amount transfers to 541 and ultimately to K-1. There is a problem with the software as it shows the tax payment as an overpaid tax on 541, line 38, and also as a credit on K-1, Line 13B. This is telling the state there should be a refund, 541, line 42, in addition to a credit on the K-1. Since funds were disbursed, it should only show up on the K-1 and not a refund on 541, line 42. There is no way to override the software and no way to write a note to CA FTB to explain.

I've used TurboTax Business download for several years for several business returns each year (you can do up to 5 business returns each year). It's easy to use and mostly intuitive. I'll continue to use it. the download is cheaper than the online version. A great thing is that it remembers your basic info from one year to the next, and then you just input the current year's numbers.

Turbo Tax Business downloaded version does not allow you to import any 1099's or other investment information or attach any financial institution statements. That made doing my Federal 1041 tax return much more time consuming. I was also unable to do a New Mexico FID-1 tax return on Turbo Tax, so I was forced to do that manually - again much more time consuming. The customer service person I spoke to was unable to tell me whether the online version would allow importing documents but told me that I was unable to switch to the online version without paying again and was unable to refund my money for the downloaded version. I feel like this software is grossly overpriced for what it does, and Intuit's customer service is pretty poor.

Stuck in State Download Loop again for the second year in a row. Lots of wasted time fixing. Thankfully, I was finally able to talk to an agent that was able to assist with downloading their state wiper software and then had to uninstall and reinstall turbotax business again.

Difficult to navigate. Needed the Business Version for a trust account, which required Windows (I have an Apple laptop). Without the help of the live chat, screen sharing Turbo Tax support people I would have never been able to make this work! I spent almost three hours with them, and they both were so patient and helpful.

Had to call for help with a form that was being requested but was not appropriate. The rep helped my find the box containing a zero that should have been blank. She was great, but the program should recognize a zero as null. A lot of the information required was not fully explained, and took extra time and research to fill in the information correctly. The program was not as user friendly as I had expected, which was a disappointment.

First off, I use quickbooks for my C-Corp, and it brought me to turbotax online to file, I was halfway through the return when I did a livechat and was advised that I was required to use the desktop version for a C-Corp... Online doesn't tell you which form is being completed. the desktop app is really terrible, filing my 1120 for the first time was very difficult, and although there was someone I could call to assist me with an issue I was having balancing my reconciliation page, I was on the phone for over an hour and the end of the call was for me to start over entirely. Then I called a 2nd time where someone would not speak with me because they were insisting I was providing the wrong email address, even though I called regarding my business account, they were validating the account that is for my husbands business. Lastly, I am on day 2 of trying to submit to efile and it keeps bringing me back to the same page but will not tell me where there is an issue.

Never had this much trouble with Turbo Tax. Bought Home and Business to do my brothers trusts and find out I have to use Business. Now I need to scan the receipt to get a refund. Then I find out Business does not include State, no Oregon what so ever. I am having trouble saving the files so I can retreave them. Those on my computer seem to want to shift to my laptop and then not be available at all. Very frustrating.

The Federal went smoothly. Trying to download the state PA S-CORP was a totally different matter. For the second year in a row it has been a real issue. I ended up trying to call for help, which is always an issue trying to reach a person. Once I did I had a hard time getting him to understand the problem but eventually he figured it out and was very helpful. I was able to purchase over the phone, then download and install it easily. This was a big hassle that is completely unacceptable. I am seriously considering using a different companies software next year.
