While the system allowed me to do a step by step, it was not very clear as to what and where I needed to enter in things like the 1099-R information on the trust I was working on. Then the state version got into a loop during the review of the state because something was missing yet it was not clear why or what was missing.

Use Turbo Tax H & B and Business Desktop for our LLC's and personal returns. Have for years, BUT now Iowa requires e-filing and we are not able to e-file the business returns because gross receipts are over $250,000 for the year--with Turbo Tax Business. So because we have to e-file the IOWA state return, we either have to use a tax pro or purchase another software to e-file those returns. Hate it. TURBO TAX BUSINESS GET UP TO PAR!

Got very good advise and help. I have on going problem however with downloading previous years which I have bought. I do not ever see a download feature. This has been a problem for a while. I need to download previous versions as I move to windows 11.

Doing farm application--I do not have the same categories of expenses and it is difficult to keep the additional pages open to double check my entries. I also had a 179 error to correct and the place that I was told to correct the error did not exist. Error corrections are difficult since where it shows the error in forms they will not correct until you find a secret window to do it in.

Prepared 1041 for a trust of a deceased relative. Cost over 200$ for software and no taxes were due. Pain in the butt and expensive. Can only use with window and I use a Mac. Should be a much easier way to file these forms. I have used Turbo Tax for 20 years, this was awful. Premium software should have been allowed to create this return!

It was too complicated for a simple tax return. First the software wasn't able to transfer the data from QB accounting software to Intuit Turbo Tax. Second, when I finished filing taxes, Turbo Tax didn't tell me clear instructions of what to do with the state return. I had to go back and figure out what to print!

This product is quite disappointing compared to Turbotax Online, but it still got the job done. I was very frustrated with certain aspects of the program. It wasn't as helpful for me as Turbotax Online for figuring out why the balance sheet wasn't balancing. Then, the federal tax calculations were rounding retained earnings down, and the state tax calculatons were rounding retained earnings up, so it took me a while of playing with the numbers to get them to match.

Not super easy to use, but was less expensive than going to an accountant. With a little help, it did what we needed on the Federal side. Wish the download was available on a Mac and also wish you offered the Ohio IT 1041. Somewhat expensive for only using the Trust portion of the software.

Some steps are confusing and require more explanation. For example, there needs to be clearer information on whether rentals are qualified business income or if the pros and cons and qualifications of opting-in/opting-out of centralized audit regime.

Awful. If you have something very simple, it is ok. But if you need to do a like-kind exchange, the program makes a lot of mistakes. Also, it is very difficult to figure out where calculated numbers came from. I have used TurboTax, (business and personal) for more than 15 years; I think it was much better 10 years ago than now. In addition, I was not able to amend and e-file my previous year's federal return.
