Pain in the neck ...this seems to be much worse than the "standard" TTax SW. No real-time view of Federal and State taxes. I had multiple issues when I could not update patches. My federal fiduciary was "manually" updated because I could not pay for it die to some SW glitch...

Although I do enjoy Turbo Tax, the internet requirement and lack of a disk is making me consider other options for next year. My businesses are in a rural area and internet is not available at a reasonable cost. I have to drive into town to get service and this is a chore for me. Please consider going back to a disk and make it possible to work on stuff without internet service.

Turbo Tax has gone down hill from prior years. No disk for loading program and problems installing from downloaded versions on Windows 11. Forms for filing W-2s on paper were not sent to IRS on time for approval. So can not print and file W-2 and W-3 at 1/11/25.

Not being able to import 1099-B from a financial institution is very annoying and will probably make me not buy this product again next year. The import works fine with the personal TurboTax Premier; why not implement import in TurboTax Business??? It was also not at all clear that it is a possibility to use the "see Statement" for the form. Although, using this feature is not ideal because of the bundling of sub-totals does not capture all of the bought and sold dates correctly. Also, I still need to send paper copies of the 1099-B after Federal E-filing, but TurboTax did not tell me to do so!

I purchased the State package for Colorado which literally could have been done manually in 10 minutes only to see that there was no e-File. Due to issues I've had in the past, I was willing to pay $$ to ensure that i had the electronic receipt of the taxes being filed. Definitely skip the State (Colorado).

had some significant trouble getting the program to understand how i wanted partnership allocations of income to take place...there were operating losses and then a capital gain from the dissolution of the partnership via the sale of all assets...the program wanted to allocated the losses one way and the gain a different way...took two days going through each schedule before i finally figured out how to override.

I didn't like how difficult it was to file for estate taxes and there was an error in it somehow that thought the beneficiaries had foreign addresses and wouldn't let me out of the loop and kept bringing me back to the form wanting me to put in a foreign address. I had to delete the beneficiaries and re-enter them and it still didn't work. You charge way too much money for something that is a stand alone and doesn't work very well!!!

After filing my Form 1065 by mail for many years, I transitioned to electronic filing for 2024. I spoke with an agent, Denise, who worked with me to answer all my questions. She was very qualified and professional. I finally bought a TT Business Desktop version. I found one issue - with including the depreciation of the property purchased before the start of my LLC, and which I had been depreciating when doing the Form 1065 by hand. I had to put in the start date of my LLC, and TT will only allow depreciation after that date.

It is really intuitive and asks smart questions. Even for a CPA trained in business taxes it has been very helpful. My only caveat is that is that my Trust has a ranch operation which makes me do part of return basically manually. I wish they would include the form in the step-by-step section.

Overall pretty happy. But, can be a bit more user friendly. Especially when doing Schedule L I basically have to manually balance the assets and liabilities each time, it does not do it right automatically. Also, should have an option to save the completed return online in our account because often we switch computers or lose saved return and then basically have to repeat so much information when that happens the following year.
