I returned to TurboTax after using a competing product for several years. I was disappointed with the ability to import pdf data from my prior year return but found it easy to enter info. A couple of things looked like errors but I was able to work through them. Overall, it was easy to use and i was happy with the purchase.

Some of your questions are confusing. I am a college graduate and actually had to go back and completely redo my taxes to get rid of your program telling me I needed a form that I did NOT need. I think your initial question about wages paid to officers vs employees was misleading. The officer IS an employee, and your program did not make the designation clear.

Not easy to download software. I needed to contact Intuit Customer Service for help. Consider adding step-by-step written instructions to help users experiencing software download issues. Since I only use a windows-based laptop once a year to prepare my business taxes, it turned out that there was no storage remaining to download the software. Thankfully, your friendly Customer Service rep walked me through the process.

Works great, however it will not work with older versions of Quickbooks Pro. I used to use H&R Block tax software for my business and because of the frusteration of trying to get it to import from Quickbooks Pro, I switched to Turbotax Business, It worked great. However, this year it would not import form my Quickbooks Pro because my "version" is too old, even though I pay the subscription on Quickbooks Pro to keep it up to date. Its a Money racket!!!!!!!

First off, I use quickbooks for my C-Corp, and it brought me to turbotax online to file, I was halfway through the return when I did a livechat and was advised that I was required to use the desktop version for a C-Corp... Online doesn't tell you which form is being completed. the desktop app is really terrible, filing my 1120 for the first time was very difficult, and although there was someone I could call to assist me with an issue I was having balancing my reconciliation page, I was on the phone for over an hour and the end of the call was for me to start over entirely. Then I called a 2nd time where someone would not speak with me because they were insisting I was providing the wrong email address, even though I called regarding my business account, they were validating the account that is for my husbands business. Lastly, I am on day 2 of trying to submit to efile and it keeps bringing me back to the same page but will not tell me where there is an issue.

Every year and this one was no exception, it's always so difficult to login. Our business taxes are extremely simple so that doesn't see too difficult. Today Turbotax had server issues but the message we received was the problem was our internet. Since we knew that was not the case, we waited and re-tried. I think it took 5 or 6 times before we were able to successfully file and finish our return.

Always a challenge to find where to access CD download. Too many user accounts are created for every different return - should be one user, then options should be presented from which to select. Information overload on the website, except for what you are searching! Like a contact phone #...

I appreciate your software and have no difficulty using it; however, your limitation of providing only Windows based products for TT for Business has me looking to move elsewhere for next year. I maintain a decade old machine for the single use of your product and I'm sick to death of the waste of time and effort it requires.

1. Absolutely *insane* that you cannot import transactions from QuickBooks Online, when you've forced people away from QB Desktop versions. You're the same company! Make it integrated! People have been commenting on this issue for YEARS and your product team refuses to fix it?? Starting to think you purposefully make the software hard to use so that people will be upsold to hiring your live agents to help. 2. Not Mac friendly?? That's really not hard to do. Unacceptable. 3. Overall just a poorly designed product. Not intuitive, feels like it hasn't been updated in a decade. Information is hard to find and/or incomplete. Definitely going to switch to another provider next year.

The app works fairly well but I would really like to see a Mac version. As is, I have to run on Parallels and switch back and forth between my Mac bookkeeping, spreadsheets and banking software and TurboTax. This is inconvenient at best and there is no way to import Mac Quickbooks data into TurboTax business. Between Intuit's 2nd class support of the Mac platform (in the case of TurboTax business, none at all), the move to online/cloud applications (I don't want my finances online!) and the push toward subscription services, I am looking for alternatives to the Intuit universe.
