I've used this packing tape to hold together very heavy boxes that were almost disintegrating. Book Fair Returns for a school. Weve also used it to reinforcethe covers of heavily used reference materials. I also use it for at home lamination of cards and art projects.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how easy this is to wrap packages with. I especially like that its' clear so I can use it to secure my label. It comes off the roll easily and cuts on the cutting edge without any trouble. I use it with all my packages.

I have been shipping items for many years and after the fiasco I had today with an off brand , I will never ever use anything else but Scotch brand. I usually have a rolls on hand but fell low and sent the husband out to pick up a roll. It was the worst time I ever had sealing a package. I told him that he is only to buy Scotch brand, or better yet, I will never run out of it. Time to Stockpile...:)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I own 3 internet stores and we only used Scotch Brand products. The High Performance Packaging Tape is a no brainer for us. We pack our orders, tape them up, ship and forget it. We use a number of tapes but the packaging tape is used the most. We have NEVER had a problem!! In over 8 years we can honestly say that we have never had a failure of any of the Scotch Brand tapes or a problem during shipping.......and we ship domestic as well as international. We thank you for making great products, making our lives easier and for helping to make our businesses successful........the highest compliment we can give to you is to say "we never have to think about you"......... One of the biggest headaches for shipping a box, is knowing whether the tape you've used is going to survive the "box kickers" during its transit. No worries, with this Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping & Packaging Tape! With some super sticky backing, and strong base, I dare say this tape could even withstand a trip around the world, during the holidays, without having to worry about its ability to survive! Definitely recommended!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I bought my first house, I bought a few essential supplies; the common hammer, stapler, screwdriver and tape gun - this one. I have had it now for 10+ years, it still works like it did when it was new : EXCELLENTLY! Easy to load, easy to use, and very powerful and durable. Mine has my hane wrote on it, and if you use it - you BETTER PUT IT BACK; it does have a home ;)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased your High Performance Packaging Tape for the 1st time & had a great experience. My husband sends many packages & has a tendency to overdue it with packing tape. It's always been a joke in the house how much he uses. Your tape both enables my husband to feel secure that his package will reach its destination in one piece while I don't have to worry about the expense of him using just about a roll on every package. Thanks again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free sample of 3M Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape and used this product to seal a package to mail. The tape is wonderful! It dispensed very easily and smoothly. This tape is strong enough to tape cartons of books with just one strip! The adhesive on the tape really holds. The other thing I like about this tape is that it is clear so it can easily be used over labels without fear of covering important shipping information. The amount and length could be a little longer but it’s enough. The tear teeth are sharp and make it easy to get any size piece you need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate, and this stuff is really strong it held without problem on several boxes of books, and holds well to the cardboard. I even used it to temporarily fix a broken cell phone screen. The only problem with this tape is getting the tape off the roll, it tends to tear off in a thin strip rather than across the entire face of the roll. I had several other people try it to rule my method or arthritis as the cause of the problem, and all had the same issue. Once i got the roll started the dispenser/cutter worked flawlessly and cut well. After cutting a strip I would fold over the last 1/4 inch of tape on itself to make a flap I could use to avoid the issue with starting the tape. I would love to see 3M/Scotch add a similar mechanism for the new roll, a simple fold or piece of cardboard could make this tape much easier to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3M recently sent me a free sample of their Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape with Dispenser to evaluate. I frequently send packages to Germany, as my granddaughters live here. I always use Scotch Heavy Duty Packing Tape for my packages. I trust it to keep my boxes sealed tight, even when they get sent to Canada by mistake ( by the post office) and look like they were dropped about a hundred times! It’s easy to use and holds tight. I won’t use anything else!
