[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate. This is a very handy for making storage boxes hold together. It was always a struggle to keep the boxes of books or heavy sporting goods in good shape for storage when the bottom of most boxes fell apart when picking them up. But this dispenser and Heavy Duty tape keeps all my boxes sturdy for packing away and carting to storage in the garage. Always handy to have around for the tough jobs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping tape to review. I have used Scotch shipping tape for years. This doesn't seem a whole lot different from what I've used previously. It may be a bit thicker. I don't like the dispenser it came on however. Just too flimsy and it's hard to cut the tape with. I have a regular dispenser that I use and it works so much better. I recently moved and only used 3M tape for all the boxes I packed. There were only a couple that didn't stay closed but I can't say if that was the tape or the person who taped it. I have used other brands in the past but they were far too thin and not strong enough to keep boxes closed. I have also used this tape to get cat hair off my furniture and clothing. It works great for that!! And since it's clear (nearly invisible), I've used it to repair items as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been on a budgeting plan ever since I lost my job in January 2010 and have tried several generic type tape to save money and realized after trying several off brand (off-brand meaning any brand besides Scotch) and came to see why it was cheaper. They are cheaper because they substitute quality in my opinion. I went back to purchasing Scotch brand tape for all off my taping needs including packing tape, labeling tape, wrapping tape and office tape and I am in relief! Scotch tape works wonders and has never been the tape used when a package busted open, a big bubble was left on my shipping label and never has Scotch tape tore and stuck to the tape roll while ripping in pieces trying to peel it back off the roll. After all of my trial and errors I came to realize one fact worth notating... While the economy is tough and though we are all cutting back there is just some things that have no substitute and that is Scotch brand tape. It works fabulously. Period. It has no substitute! The applicator makes it easy to apply it exactly where I want It and then easily cut it at the end. I found that the tape is extremely strong, and I like that once I put in place, it stays stuck.

The tape itself is so sturdy that it gives me complete confidence when sending packages in the mail, by courier, or even for storage purposes. I honestly feel better knowing I am using Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Tape. The dispenser is, well, dispensable! *LOL* It makes it so convenient you do not have to worry about scissors. Now, if you are like me and sometimes finish your taping work a the post office, this is the most convenient way to use the tape. I love this product!

I sell crafts I make on online sales websites, so I ship alot of packages. I use Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape because it gets the job done. This packaging tape is strong and the perfect amount of sticky. I've never had a problem using it yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the best packaging tapes Ive ever used. Its easy to use. I love that it comes with the cutter attached to the product. You dont have to use a lot of it for it to work. Just 1 strip on each box opening is enough.

I had to pack some things up for storage and some were pretty heavy items and the box I used the tape on never once budge. The tape held up amazingly.
