I've used it in hot and cold water which removed all traces of unwanted odors out of our clothes. It acts as a detergent booster and helped clean the fabrics removing built-up dirt, debris and odors. I only used 3 tbl for each load and the clothes came out softer and smelling wonderful! I'm definitely adding Downy rinse and refresh to my shopping list it has made a big difference in the outcome of our laundry which has been an issue even more so from my washer being in our damp musty basement I absolutely love this!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work as a nurse, so I’m always looking for ways to make my scrubs cleaner than just with laundry detergent. I saw that downy came up with a deep cleansing fabric rinse, so I decided to give it a shot. My clothes smell better, and they feel cleaner as well. They look a little brighter, but I’m not sure if that’s because I’m imagining it or not. You use it by adding it to the fabric softener area in your washing machine, so you don’t have to time it just right. Over all, easy to use.

I was so pleased after using the rinse and refresh, it removed all the odors and their beds/blankets smell great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a longtime lover of the Downy brand and was really excited to try the Downy Rinse and Refresh Cool Cotton fabric rinse. With a houseful of kids who play sports, we always have smelly and dirty clothes to wash. This rinse is a clear, slightly foaming liquid that you use in the fabric softner dispenser or by pouring right into the washing machine during the rinse cycle. I used mine in the fabric softener dispenser. It is made to clarify your fabrics by removing residue build up. The Cool Cotton scent is light, refreshing and smells so clean. It made my clothes smell wonderful and I felt like they had been cleansed extremely well when I got them out of the wash.

When I took my clothes out of the wash they smelled clean and refreshing. Even after the dryer and time sitting in the laundry basket, they still had the fresh scent to them. This is definitely needed in my house where laundry sits for sometime before it gets put away.

This review is for "Cool Cotton" fragrance which is mild yet pleasant. Just poured a little in fabric softener compartment of HE washer and the clothes came out with a very pleasing smell which is not overpowering. Love this product from Downy.

Left my laundry smelling so fresh! Not a masking cover up fresh smell either. A genuinely light, naturally clean smell. And my laundry is so soft! I personally don’t think it’s confusing or hard to use at all. I used the same amount as I would with traditional fabric softener.
