I absolutely love this product! My clothes come out feeling soft, fresh, and clean without the heavy coating that regular fabric softeners leave behind. It works especially well on my workout clothes and towels, and everything smells amazing. Since switching to Downy Rinse %26 Refresh, I'll never go back to traditional fabric softener. Highly recommend!

I have two teenage boys and until this came along it was difficult to know predict whether or not the detergent was going to get all the smells out. I never had that problem when they were young so it was a challenge to have to guess whether one wash would be enough. No matter the detergent brand/type/amount, trust me I tried everything. This stuff actually neutralizes the odors regardless of the article of clothing, regardless of what temperature I wash it in, what brand/amount/type of detergent I use, or how hard they played in it. I used to have to sort teens clothes from ours but now I just wash everything together, sub this stuff instead of fabric softner and it comes out smelling fresh and CLEAN. LOVE IT!!!! I can't speak of those who don't have teenage boys because that's all I have but if you have boys and they get sweaty and stinky and you dread doing their laundry, give this stuff a try and I promise it will change your entire perspective on what clean laundry should smell like. Don't have pets but it probably would work great on pet gear too.

The consistency is exactly like water so for me that made it difficult to dispense a proper amount. I would always put too much but it wasn’t overpowering when I did. I just need to bottle to be redesigned to dispense better. Overall this stuff works and I will be purchasing in the future.

Functionality wise it actually knocks out odor instead of just masking it, and the scent holds up well after the clothes dry and not just fresh out of the wash. It rinses clean without leaving any residue or stiffness on fabric a little goes a long way so the bottle lasts. Adding this to our regular rinse cycle for good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Downy Rinse and Refresh in the Cool Cotton scent and I really like the clear, lightweight bottle design. It is very compact, making storage simple, and it is easy to pour right into the fabric softener dispenser of my machine. However, I have to be honest about the packaging quality because the plastic cap is a bit loose and doesn't seal tightly. When it was delivered to me, some of the liquid had actually leaked out. The Cool Cotton scent is wonderful because it is very gentle and relaxing. It is not a strong, heavy perfume smell, so after the wash is done, you just get a very light, clean fragrance that lingers on the clothes without being overpowering. The value is also pretty great. I have used almost the whole 48 fluid ounce bottle, and it lasted me about two months with me doing laundry two to three times a week, depending on the load size. It does a great job fighting odors and leaving fabrics feeling fresh.

It works great. Im a very active person and this helps cleanse my clothes of active workout or daily activity body odors. The best part is that it is not made with the waxes that coat your clothing and sticks on them which can contribute to even more funky smell overtime like fabric softeners do. This rinse is for any type of clothing that is used for gym activewear or daily activities as well. I like it so much better than fabric softeners.

I've been using Downy Rinse & Refresh in the Fresh Cotton scent during my regular laundry routine, especially for towels, sheets, and everyday clothes. I add it to the fabric softener compartment during the rinse cycle, and it leaves everything smelling fresh and clean without being overpowering. I love that my laundry feels refreshed and has that just-washed smell that lasts.

Great price at Sams, and the Scan and Go feature in the app is amazing. This rinse aid is supposed to remove lingering odors from your wash by lifting away detergent and fabric softener residues that may have built up over time. It does help, but it contains fragrance of its own and it contains ingredients that create foam. I'd like to think my clothes are cleaner, but they may just be getting an added layer of sudsy residue with a masking smell of its own. Also, in my old upright, the fabric softener dispenser does a little spatter of product during the final spin, and these spots dry whitish. At first, I thought it was fading my colors, but the spots come out or at least move when the garment goes through another wash. I wish Sams Club offered a version that is odorless and non-foaming, and I also could greatly benefit from a measuring spout.

Ive tried it with shirts that have a musty smell and it didn't seem to help a whole lot. I wanted to love it, but I could take it or leave it.

I was sooo disappointed in this product. In fact, it smelled so bad that my husband (who never complains) made a negative comment about it. I’m returning it next trip back to Sams
