We have to by bags of ice and put them in the freezer in our garage so that we don't run out. Bottom of freezer door has a empty space like its missing a shelf, but it isn't missing anything. Looks kinda dumb. Other than these 2 things, we love our new refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the contemporary design of this fridge. The modern, clean lines and sleek touch screen look sexy in our kitchen. I could stare at it all day! But there are some missed opportunities which prevent me from giving it 5 stars. Pros: 1. The family hub touch screen is cool! The screensaver is especially gorgeous. 2. I love that I can access the hub from my phone whenever I want. Hubby can even send me messages on the fridge while he's at work! 3. We love the calendar, whiteboard, recipes, and the shopping list which I can access from my phone while I'm at the store. 4. No exterior handles - love this! 5. Deep shelves. 6. Very quiet (but Bixby chirps sometimes for no reason). 7. Ice bin is removable, but it would be nice if you could just tilt it to grab a few cubes. Cons: 1. Apps are primitive and super basic. My phone apps are more sophisticated. 2. Shopping list is generic and doesn't have a memory. 3. LED lighting is unappealing and dim. 4. Would have liked a dairy bin or additional drawer. 5. Bottom 2 fridge door bins can store gallons, but the top 3 are more narrow. 6. Freezer has 2 storage bins but there's room for a 3rd (would have been nice). 7. Water dispenser nozzle has a design flaw. You must line up your container and use your hand to push it or it spills. 8. No spill guard for water dispenser. 9. One shelf is adjustable in the freezer (Yay!) but no adjustable shelves in fridge (boo!). Overall, so far we are very happy with the fridge and would recommend it for anyone looking for a cool, contemporary addition to their smart home!

In comparing the side-by-side model to our previous French door type, we found that the side-by-side was much easier to find items in the freezer area versus the French door chest like freezer. The icemaker was excellent and the water filter made the water taste great. The refrigerator and freezer were both spacious and keeps food at the perfect temperature. The appropriately named “Family Hub” did exactly that in the sense that family members were leaving notes for each other, shopping lists were being created, meals were being planned, and the calendar and to do lists were helpful for the entire family. It really became the command center for our household. While anyone can have a great refrigerator, what put this refrigerator into the next level and a big step above the competition was certainly the technology of the Family Hub. Only Samsung developers would come up with the idea to include a 21 inch beautiful LED screen that gives the customer the ability to include photos, messages, recordings, Pandora/Spotify/IHeart Radio, calendar, shopping lists, the ability to view inside your refrigerator while at the store, Ring capabilities, and so much more. Bixby is similar to Alexa and is very useful for voice commands. I love the morning brief and the ability to pull up the news by voice command as well. Once you download the Samsung Family Hub app onto your mobile device/phone, this gives you the ability to do many things with the apps while away from home such as leaving notes, checking contents of the refrigerator with the camera function, uploading photos, etc. I look forward to new apps in the future from the Samsung development team as more and more companies try to get there apps included in this amazing Family Hub. One thing on my wish list would be for the Ring app to automatically open and display who is walking up to the house rather than have to tap the screen to do this function. All in all, I don’t think I could ever go back to a normal refrigerator. Great job Samsung!

This refrigerator is really good, the style is really nice, the size is perfect, it is very roomy inside. the applications load and run right away, the sound is good (just make sure you remove the plastic that covers the speaker) The freezer is super strong, it froze the meat in less than 1 hr.

Samsung, you have outdone yourself on this one! It has almost been 2 weeks since the fridge was installed and I am in love! The technology included in the fridge will wow you! It is like a tablet capable of feeding and entertaining you! Perfect shelving on the inside, sleek, dark look on the inside and technology at your fingertips! Preloaded with many much needed apps. A must have in the kitchen! I enjoy walking into the kitchen just to admire this fridge. It was very helpful with finding recipes, adding things I need to buy from the grocery store and telling me a few fun facts for the day. I can see the weather without even touching the screen. That is just the outside features that have me excited! The inside is just as fantastic. All over cooling is a plus. Everywhere in the fridge, the food/drinks are the perfect temperature. Deep shelves for all sorts of foods. A lot of condiment door space as well. This fridge does not disappoint. No one can keep their hands off of it in our home!

FamilyHub is basically a tablet embedded in your fridge. It has a calendar, .message boards, notifications. You can connect that to your other smart home devices. You can even use that to watch video and play music. 3. Inexpensive water filter. Samsung does not add digital right management to their water filter. 4. Door open alarm. 5. Modern design, the stainless steel looks and feels amazing. Cons: 1. The shelf space is not really adjustable. 2. All temperature control needs to go through FamilyHub. No manual override inside the fridge if the screen stops working. Overall this is a very beautiful refrigerator and my family has been really enjoying it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so impressed with the new 2020 Samsung Side by Side fridge with Family Hub. The 21 inch screen is massive. It totally updates the kitchen in a major way. I love the all the options this fridge has. I was able to connect to WiFi and add to my SmartThings Hub. This was very easy and painless. Then was instructed to download the Family hub app on my smartphone. Here I am able to add food to my shopping list and add pictures to show on the huge 21 inch screen. I really love the technology built into the fridge. Now lets talk lets about the overall look and feel of the new fridge. This fridge looks downright beautiful and its able to hide smudges and fingerprints really well. Some fingerprints will still appear but you are able to wipe away with ease. I'm totally impressed with the depth of the fridge. I didn't expect to the fridge to be as large as it is. Compared to my previous fridge this fridge is able to hold twice the size of products. Im really happy with my purchase and I recommend this fridge.
