Have not scratched the surface on all the family hub features but have mirrored our Samsung TV on it, ties it to our Ring camera and saved lots of photos and memos. Used the recipe feature and listened to music and there is so much more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so impressed with the new 2020 Samsung Side by Side fridge with Family Hub. The 21 inch screen is massive. It totally updates the kitchen in a major way. I love the all the options this fridge has. I was able to connect to WiFi and add to my SmartThings Hub. This was very easy and painless. Then was instructed to download the Family hub app on my smartphone. Here I am able to add food to my shopping list and add pictures to show on the huge 21 inch screen. I really love the technology built into the fridge. Now lets talk lets about the overall look and feel of the new fridge. This fridge looks downright beautiful and its able to hide smudges and fingerprints really well. Some fingerprints will still appear but you are able to wipe away with ease. I'm totally impressed with the depth of the fridge. I didn't expect to the fridge to be as large as it is. Compared to my previous fridge this fridge is able to hold twice the size of products. Im really happy with my purchase and I recommend this fridge.

It is sleek and has a lot of technology including a touch screen and a camera that show me what’s inside my refrigerator real time. My one issue is the ice maker. It doesn’t make enough ice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the side-by-side refrigerator because I don't like the idea of having to dig in a freezer drawer for frozen food, it's too cold.I like being able to open the doors and see everything on shelves. Although I picked one of the smaller refrigerators, it's not so small. It is about the same size as our old fridg(so I thought) until they moved it in. We use to have cabinets above the fridge...we don't have them anymore, which is fine with me. This year I plan to remodel my entire kitchen anyway. The modern design of my Samsung refrigerator is a gorgeous, industrial look. I love the fact it's sleek, you do not see the door handles. But watch out for your feet, I have opened the door on my feet numerous times already.lol. It is huge! The family hub is my favorite part. I blast my spotify music on a daily bases just about all day long. With covid-19, kids are doing school from home and the hub is perfect for them too! Each family member has a profile of their own, where I can write to-do lists, notes, reminders, add to the monthly calendar, etc. for us to keep up with their crazy schedules. I love you can do anything on the hub that you can do on a phone, computer or tablet without having it in the kitchen where somthing more than likely will get spilled on it....yes, it has happened to me, I am a messy cook. On the hub you are able to do so many things like a diagnostic check on the fridge to make sure everything runs smoothly and the way it should, time & date, the weather, music, daily quick recipes, daily Trivia with daily Inspiration, Word of the Day and On This Day. It has many different apps like Meal Planner, Shopping Deals, Spotify, GurbHub, InstaCart, View Inside, Shopping List and tons more. I love going to the store knowing the inventory in my fridge/freezer because it keeps up with that too, along with how long you have had your food for so it doesn't go bad. I'm still learning how to work it. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my new Samsung refrigerator but I gave 4 stars because there are a few small features I wish it had to make it the perfect refrigerator for me, like a light on the water and ice dispenser, adjustable shelves where it gives my tea pitcher at least 2 inches from the other shelf and I wish it worked with Google or Alexa instead of Bixby. I really don't mind the Bixby but I already have multiple apps to run different things my household, which is ridiculous. but all in all, I am happy with my purchase and would do it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sleek technological marvel was a welcome addition to our home. In comparing the side-by-side model to our previous French door type, we found that the side-by-side was much easier to find items in the freezer area versus the French door chest like freezer. The icemaker was excellent and the water filter made the water taste great. The refrigerator and freezer were both spacious and keeps food at the perfect temperature. The appropriately named “Family Hub” did exactly that in the sense that family members were leaving notes for each other, shopping lists were being created, meals were being planned, and the calendar and to do lists were helpful for the entire family. It really became the command center for our household. While anyone can have a great refrigerator, what put this refrigerator into the next level and a big step above the competition was certainly the technology of the Family Hub. Only Samsung developers would come up with the idea to include a 21 inch beautiful LED screen that gives the customer the ability to include photos, messages, recordings, Pandora/Spotify/IHeart Radio, calendar, shopping lists, the ability to view inside your refrigerator while at the store, Ring capabilities, and so much more. Bixby is similar to Alexa and is very useful for voice commands. I love the morning brief and the ability to pull up the news by voice command as well. Once you download the Samsung Family Hub app onto your mobile device/phone, this gives you the ability to do many things with the apps while away from home such as leaving notes, checking contents of the refrigerator with the camera function, uploading photos, etc. I look forward to new apps in the future from the Samsung development team as more and more companies try to get there apps included in this amazing Family Hub. One thing on my wish list would be for the Ring app to automatically open and display who is walking up to the house rather than have to tap the screen to do this function. All in all, I don’t think I could ever go back to a normal refrigerator. Great job Samsung!

I been wanting this refrigerator for so so long and I was able to finally get it and when I tell you that this refrigerator is nice it is NICE. I have so much space inside. I love being able to watch TV while I am in my kitchen preparing meals. Samsung you did an excellent job when you made this refrigerator

The highest and lowest temperatures are 34°F and 53°F (nearly 20°F apart!) when the fridge temp is set to 34°F! We bought a pack of 6 refrigerator thermometers to cross check to make sure it’s not the thermometer, and the readings are still the same. Although this refrigerator has 4 vents where cold air can come out, there’s still huge variance in the back and front, as well as top to bottom. On the back of the fridge (4 shelves and 2 drawers), from top to bottom, the temperatures measured are: 36, 42, 39, 48, 36, 36. On the front of the fridge (5 shelves on door), from top to bottom, the temperatures measured are: 53, 42, 44, 45, 40. The freezer is a bit better. On the back of the freezer (4 shelves and 2 drawers, from top to bottom, the temperatures measured are: 0, 2, -2, 0, 0, 0. On the front of the freezer (2 shelves), from top to bottom, the temperatures measured are: 4, 2. The attached picture is of the top part of refrigerator, where the back shelf of fridge measures 40°F (in between the grey and red on the thermometer), and the top shelf of the fridge (right next to that shelf) measures 50°F (in the red on the thermometer). The fridge setting is at 34° at the time I measured because the default setting of 37°F makes the actual temperatures too hot. The safe fridge temperature is below 40°F according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), so this refrigerator seems unsafe and practically unusable unless you only use a quarter of the space in the fridge because setting the temperature very cold freezes food at certain parts of the fridge, and setting it higher risks food poisoning at warmer parts of the fridge. Yes, many refrigerators and freezers don’t have completely even cooling, but advertising “All Around Cooling” seems absurd if there’s nearly a 20°F difference in the range the temperature is distributed.

i really wanted to love this product! i am listing the things i would want to know before i purchased. the ice machine is slow! it makes 8 cubes of ice 3 times a day. the freezer door does not suction shut then the items in the freezer thaw just a small amount. no alarm sound for this. we've had to throw away a few gallons of milk, we kept it in the door area so we moved it & the problem stopped. dents super easily! the finger prints are ridicoulus! very annoying. i had the fridge all set up & then had to update the software. the picture for inside the fridge only shows items on the 2 shelves right in front of the camera. the water leaks a small amount we always have a stain on the shelf.

Husband and kids pushed for the fridge with the tablet and I use it more than I thought I would. There is an app for recipes and to do lists. We hooked our ring doorbell up to the refrigerator and it comes on to show who is at the door. Overall I really like this refrigerator and would recommend it.
