This is good Sharp cheddar cheese. However, I like a really Sharp cheese and expected more from something labeled "Seriously Sharp". I don't think I would even call it extra sharp.

As a (semi)-retirement gift to myself, I bought a Traeger smoker in June 2022. A friend introduced me to cold-smoked cheese. I quickly discovered Cabot's Seriously Sharp Cheddar and that has been my one and only cheddar to cold smoke. The 8-ounce bar makes a really cool gift to friends for special occasions or simply impulse giving. All recipients are blown away by the delectable taste, as was my wife and I after my first attempt. I've used apple, pecan and hickory for various taste nuances. This product is definitely top shelf!

I have been using this cheese for about 15 years. While attending a flower show in Philadelphia I saw them having a showing in a different room. After talking to a gentleman about their cheese and butter I decided to give them a try. They have the best! Give it a try - you won't be sorry.

I have been buying Cabot Seriously Sharp for years and fully enjoy every bite. It is great on a sandwich but even better sliced and melted on slices of baguette, particularly when served with fresh apples. Better than much of the cheddar I had while living in England. Keep it coming! Where can I buy garlic flavored Cabot cheese? I know you make it but can't find it locally.

I have adored very sharp Cheddars for years and Cabots' Seriously Sharp cheese is among the very best of them!. It has an old-time extra-sharp, full-bodied flavor. Cabots' cheeses also freeze very well and keep longer than you'd expect any cheese to keep in the refrigerator. Cabot is my "go to" for cheese or yogurt.

First I want to say that I have been buying cabot cheese forever because of the lactose free. I literally have a cheese drawer in my fridge that's how much cheese we use. I used to buy the Vermont flavor the most as it was so creamy and flavorful. Lately it's has very little taste and I thought I got a bad couple of packs but it wasn't the case. Very limited on flavor no matter the flavor. I unfortunately am venturing out to other brands but nothing can compare to the old Vermont flavor. I hope you read this and if you did have a recepie change to make it cost similar because let's be honest cost is everything.. I would rather pay more for cheese and flavor than keep it the around the same price and no flavor.

I eat the blue label Cabot extra sharp from Wal-Mart all the time. Tried this after liking a sample in store. First issue is the texture and size of the block: impossible to slice, and when you get to the middle it just crumbles and sticks badly to the knife. The STICKIEST cheddar ever! Not at all like their extra sharp. The taste is good but I had to throw out half the block because it was just too hard to cut and it started growing mold after 2 weeks in a sealed ziplok! Never had mold on sharp cheddar, even far longer in the fridge than this. Perhaps this cheese would be perfect for a large recipe that doesn't need to be sliced and you use it all up as a crumble topping. Otherwise I'm out!

This has been my go-to cheddar for over two decades and I've been through over 700 pounds (conservative) over that period. In my experience it has never varied. When given time to relax at room temperature it is dreamy creamy, big acid and a funk that keeps developing if left out. It will become quite pungent! Very little if any sweetness even in aftertaste. Great by itself but I love it in a meal with apples and potato chips. Really stands up to mustard. And toasted this cheese is pure heaven. 5 stars but the price makes it 6 stars.

Why does this cheese have potato starch in it? When I bought it at the store and looked at the package, no where did it indicate potato starch as an ingredient. It is only upon getting on this website that I see potato starch listed as an ingredient. Why is this??

If I could give Cabot Seriously Sharp a 6 star review, I would. It is an excellent cheese. Great flavor and none of that rubbery feel that some cheeses have. For even more cheddar flavor in Mac and Cheese, buy some ahead so you can use it near its expiration date when it has even more flavor.
