Trash

Stick to the tube of meat. Idk what this is but it didn't break down like normal meat does. It literally turned brown the next day while in fridge in it's original package that wasn't opened. Taste and texture was way off. Literally had to throw all of it out . It seems like a totally different meat. We will Stick to the square packages one or the big long tube moving forward. It was gross it looked like splattered brains or worms

Serious Issues - Chemical Flavor/Browning Quickly

I don't leave reviews very often but felt compelled to write a review on the ground beef after the last few purchases. We've been buying the ground beef for years and never had a problem until recently. The beef now tastes and smells like chemical (almost a bleach-like taste). Also, the beef used to last around a week and now turns brown within a day or two. I'm not sure what they have done but I will definitely not be purchasing the ground beef anymore.

SCARY!

We've been purchasing this beef for at least 4 years now and have never had any issues. Last week I purchased three packages of this ground beef. One package I had divided out and made hamburger patties for the freezer. The other two packages were divided out into pound and a half servings and put in the freezer. Last night we cooked six of the hamburger patties and noticed a very odd cleaner or bleach type taste to our burgers. We decided to try one of the packages of frozen ground beef tonight and you could just smell it when it was cooking. It smell like bleach. I made ground Mongolian beef and you could taste that same taste Even with the strong sauce. It tastes like some sort of cleaner or bleach. I did contact Sam's Club and they issued me a refund.

Paying for the weight of the packaging.

The total weight of the hamburger purchased included the weight of the packaging. In my case 5.6 ounces. At 4.12 per pound the packaging cost about $1.40. Contacted Sams and all they would say is the packaging "should not" be included in the price but would not say it should definitely not.

Low quality burger - stay away

Burger is very tough, at medium/medium rare, and dryer than you would expect from an 88% burger. We made 2 burgers, and after suffering through them, we threw the balance away. Absolutely the worst burger we've ever had. We normally buy all of our meat from Sam's and really have never had issues with their quality before but, this is one to avoid.

Awful spoiled meat and also a chemical smell to it

I bought 2 packs of GB 3 weeks apart from the Albuquerque, NM store on Eubank. The 1st one was sour the minute I opened it. 3 weeks later bought another one. It had a weird chemical smell. thought maybe I was wrong, so froze the meat. Went to cook it yesterday, and it was definitely sour and bad. Not sure what is going on, but Sam's needs to investigate what is going on with this meat they get. I think it's from IBP, but could be wrong on that. The meat was nice and read and both times said it was packed that day, but it was definitely off. Are they using chemicals to make the meat red again, when in effect they already know it is spoiled, and are still selling it to customers? Remember the Dateline investigation into a grocery store years ago that did that? I've bought GB from Sam's for 20 years, and never had an issue until now.

URGENT WARNING! ⚠️

I purchased this from the Provo, UT Sam's Club on August 14th 2024. Upon opening it to package some of it up to freeze, I noticed a strange smell but didn't think too much of it. Tho, after cooking some hamburgers for my family... After we all took a bite, we all were hit with a very bitter taste of some type of chemical. A very very strong bitter taste. We all immediately spit it out. And it took multiple times using mouthwash, to get the horrible chemical taste out of our mouths. This batch that I purchased, has been tainted somehow. So I am putting this warning ⚠️ out there to anyone who is planning to purchase this. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL! THIS COULD BE POTENTIALLY VERY HARMFUL TO YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES. IF IT SMELLS STRANGE/ TASTES STRANGE... DO NOT EAT IT! THIS HAS BEEN AN EXTREMELY SCARY AND EYE OPENING EXPERIENCE. I'm actually very scared to even eat anything purchased from any store now. I'm absolutely horrified and worried for anyone who ends up with this same batch. I pray that nobody gets hurt etc. I have called and reported this. But who knows if anything will actually be done!

Inedible Due To Bones

I made a meatloaf out of the package. Every serving has bone shards in it. Quite disgusting.

Too lean!

Way too lean! It grills up ok but not enough fat in it which makes it tasteless and tough!
