Lately it seems there is more gristle in it than in the past. Also, if you don’t get divided and put into the freezer by the next day, it gets an old blood smell and taste. Found that out the hard. Had to throw about 5 pounds in the trash.

Perceived quality was good. I suspect the producer adds quite a bit of water to the grind, as the flavor is subdued, and when baked there is mostly water in the pan to boil off, rather than fat to brown. It fries up ok. Prefer Fareway meats.

Wish it had been a 5lb package instead of 4.9lb it’s easier to divide into 1lb packages for freezing. Otherwise it was good. The price was about average.

Perfect mix of meat to fat. This ground beef is perfect for pretty much anything, from chili, burgers, sloppy joes, spaghetti, to meatloaf. I prefer this blend over fattier blends. There is just enough fat to make for a juicy burger.

This ground beef, as prepared by Sam's Club, cooks up tender and tasty without any gristle (that we've ever seen) and is a really great value. It's our goto over anything the supermarket offers or the other big club ;-)

Members Mark 88 to 12 fat ground beef price per pound is great. Every time I buy meat from Sam’s is always good. I recommend everybody if you need me in your in your products buy them from Sam’s.

The last year the ground beef has been absolutely terrible. It says 88% but there is no fat added to this . Worst ground beef I've found . Disappointed since I used to buy all my ground beef from Sam's club .

The quality of this ground beef has declined. It is full of gristle and bone. I've noticed it is not ground as fine as before. It doesn't even look appetizing!

Recently bought this for the family. Meat had a bad odor and a strange taste almost like it is not pure beef. Wasn’t in fridge for more than 24 hours before it changed color from beef red to a nasty grayish- tan. DO NOT BUY.
