With two kids under four and a dog in the house, messes abound and they always seem to occur on our couch, upholstered dining chairs, and area rugs. I was very happy with how this machine tackled various stains. Upon receiving I had two stains I knew I wanted to try and remove right away. The first, an especially stained upholstered dining room chair. The second, a mystery dried yogurt that was on a couch cushion. To start, setup couldn't be easier! The machine comes with a starter bottle of the cleaning solution and the tank has clear marked lines for where to fill with water and solution. The included manual and quick start instruction are clear and got me started quickly. I decided to go the hard route first and tackle my very stained upholstered chairs. For background, we have owned these for 8 years, they are not stain guarded (regrets that cheap decision lol) and have never been professionally cleaned. I am so happy with the result! I opted to use the steam + clean solution and it was amazing how much dirt came off the seat. Are they perfect? No. However they dramatically better and I think going forward, they are going to look cleaner and be maintained if any future stains occur. Next up was my couch cushions. Again, I chose the steam + clean function and was so happy with the results. The mystery yogurt stains completely came up and I don't have to flip the cushion anymore! All in all - this machine is powerful, not as loud as I expected (still loud but also, yay suction power!) and lightweight. I also appreciate the intuitive knob design that lets you change the setting choice and clear light indicator for when the steam function is ready. This Little Green Hydrosteam Pet carpet cleaner has been a great addition to my cleaning arsenal. It's very portable (though not the most lightweight) and has different modes depending on the type of cleaning you want to do. I've used it to clean dirt and stains from carpet and drapery, build-up in shower grout, and even my kids' shoes! And I've been impressed with the results every single time. It did take me a bit of time to understand the different settings and how to properly clean the machine after use. It's quite intuitive once you get it, but I did struggle at first with understanding how to detach and reattach the different compartments. It also is quite noisy, despite its small size, so don't expect to use this during nap time. All in all, this is a great little carpet cleaner than I anticipate using regularly in the future. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hydro steam pet is a great little tool. It's lightweight and easy to use. The knobs are daily intuitive and as long as you read the QuickStart guide it's easy to set up. The water tanks are sufficient for any small cleaning project. I got this cleaner as part of the stellar testing panel. My dog threw up on my cloth reclining chair so had a great chance to test it out. The hydro steam took care of the spot no problem. I only rated 4 starts because I didn't get the three inch tool. The tools I did get worked great though!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Bissell vacuum, and was excited to finally have the money to buy this hydrosteam system to help clean up some carpet stains but mostly clean my couch. I don't have removable couch covers, so a portable cleaner is the only way I can clean my couch without calling in a professional. What an absolute disappointment. Their book tells you not to use their cleaning solution and to only use steam for upholstery - fine. When I start to use it, the steam barely penetrates the fabric, so it's not really doing much other than breathing hot air onto dirty fabric. I switch modes to "wash and steam" but all that does it shoot water out with a little steam to make the fabric wet, and leaving it wet. My favorite part of this process is that not only am I missing a cleaning nozzle that was supposed to be in the box, but the cleaning nozzle attachment I am using/did receive keeps coming unclipped from the hose if I try to put pressure on it to attempt to suck up the water that is being sprayed onto the upholstery surface. Not sure if I just got a faulty product, but for me to clean my couch and ottoman would take at least two hours, plus drying time. I was so excited for this product, especially because Bissell vacuums have become my favorite offer Dyson with two dogs that shed quite a bit. I'm more than just disappointed and frustrated with this product - I wish I had never wasted my time or money to purchase and try it.

I've gotten stains out of attached couch cushions and am truly disgusted by the color of the water. I also was able to save a fairly new area rug that my dog had diarrhea on. After vacuuming in wash mode I truly couldn't tell where she had pooped! There's a few things that would take this from really good to great. The steam could be hotter and have a wider spray area. This is really only good for very small areas/spot cleaning. Even doing something like a whole 5x7 rug would be very tedious (but not impossible). The attachments are an improvement on the original little green, but still kind of flimsy and feel like they will break within a few more uses. One big improvement they've made though is that you can more easily clean the attachments by taking them apart. Overall I recommend this product and I think they have been listening to customer feedback in product development. It does its job adequately and they are very close to making a 5 star product.

I have been wanting to try one of these machines for awhile now. I have white furniture with 2 toddlers and 2 dogs so spills and stains are practically a daily occurrence. I have a large stand up carpet cleaner with hose attachment but I avoid using it because it is big, bulky and takes a lot of effort to use. The Little Green HydroSteam pet has quickly become my favorite cleaning appliance! It's not too heavy, compact and so easy to set up and use. From set up to use only takes about 3 minutes. I used this machine on everything including my bar stools, arm chairs, couch and rug. I was shocked at how effective it was at getting stains out. We're talking anything from marker, chocolate, dirt and strawberries. I mostly used the hydro steam setting. The steam was ready in 15-30 seconds. I was shocked at how much dirt was removed. I really love how versatile this machine is! You can use it on so many types of fabrics and surfaces and it does not damage. I can't recommend this product enough!

I never thought I'd be so lucky to receive such an amazing product from the Stellar Product Testing Panel to review. At first I was quite intimidated to even open the box and try the machine, I was worried it would be too complicated to figure out or even worse what if I mess something up? Straight out of the box quick set up guide made it easy and was super helpful. With 3 dogs, a messy toddler, and even messier husband, oh and a baby on the way the possibilities are endless with this machine and the messes are plentiful. My favorite feature so far has to be the steam feature, I'm all about working smarter not harder, being able to utilize the steam to first loosen the yucky grime or sticky mess before I have to use harmful chemicals to do the same thing is so helpful and of course not having to sit there and scrub just to loosen the mess. You can easily tote this machine from room to room and love that it truly is an all purpose machine and not just another "carpet cleaner". Which of course while we all love a good carpet cleaner and this has been no exception it has worked well on new and old stains it's nice not having to use a full size machine but it would be nice if it had some type of wheels or rolling feature, I have found myself cleaning and set the machine down and get carried away and almost tip it over by stretching to clean. Over all I definitely recommend this product and so excited to have a compact and easy to carry machine to use.

This is not the first Little Green Machine that I have used, and it likely won't be the last, but it might be my favorite of those I've used. For background, I have two kids that are six and three, two dogs, and a husband. Stains and spills are a typical occurrence in my life. My two favorite features of this steam cleaner are not cleaning related, but important because this machine gets a lot of use. The first thing I noticed about this machine is how light-weight it was. I would not say that I spend an ample amount of time weightlifting, so was appreciative that my noodle arms could easily lift and maneuver this machine. The second thing that I fell in love with was how QUIET this machine was. I can clean and still have a conversation with my husband without even raising my voice. I was able to set up the machine with ease. I appreciated the quick guide, but I didn't even need it. It was that easy. I used the machine in a variety of locations: basement carpet, rugs, stairs, and plush bedroom carpet. I found the steam feature to be extremely helpful in getting some of my tougher stains out, but found the water only feature to be most handy on set in stains. The only place I wanted to try the machine on that I ran out of time before needing to review was tile grout. I would be extremely interested to see how it would work for that application. I gave the Little Green Machine 4 stars only because I didn't find that it removed stains that well. That said, some of my stains were very set in, so I am willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. All-in-all, I was extremely pleased with the versatility, ease of use, and cleaning ability of this machine. I would definitely recommend it to my friends!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this steam cleaner a few times a week since I got it and I have loved it. It is perfect for spills on tile and carpet. I have a Newfoundland dog and 3 small kids and somehow no one has had any potty accidents since I got the cleaner, but I imagine it will be great for that too. We have had another small BISSELL portable carpet cleaner since we got our dog 6.5 years ago, so I was so excited to upgrade and I received the Little Green as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. We have used it on couches, rugs, carpet and in the bathroom on the tile around the toilet. It has worked wonderfully on all of those surfaces. There are no remnants of mess and it is pretty quick to clean small areas. I wouldn't recommend it for cleaning carpet or rugs as it is really meant for cleaning messes and cleaning a large area takes too long. The biggest things it works well for are couches and car interiors. I'm not stressed about messes because of this little machine. It was intuitive to set up and isn't intimidating to learn or use. 10/10 for me.
