It was easy to set up and took only a few minutes to be ready to clean. The power of the machine was incredible for the size and portability. We currently have an upright pet vac and let me tell you, it is cumbersome to take out when you want to spit clean something. This Little Green Hydrosteam portable machine is a beast! It deep cleans stains that have been there for awhile! My husband and I didn't have any quick messes to clean up from our son or dogs for this review, but we do have a few things around the house that have just become dingy over time. Our coffee table has a fabric top where we put our feet up and the arms on our sofa have seen better days. Additionally, we have curtains on our french doors and the grease from the door hinges has been driving us nuts! After using the little green hydrosteam on all three areas, I can honestly say this thing works great! The couch arms look restored, the coffee table looks better than ever, and while not all the grease stains came out from the curtains, I think that it just needs another spot treatment to get it out. The only spot that didn't lift right away was the thickest part. My husband even said there is no way it would lift any of the grease and he was pleasantly surprised when it lifted! The machine is extremely easy to set up. We quickly glanced over the start guide, but truthfully it's pretty intuitive, including the buttons and functions. I love how this machine can be used anywhere and is super easy to use. Thank you stellar panel for allowing me to test this out!

The initial setup can be a little overwhelming but once it's set up, everything works smoothly. I used it mostly on carpet and upholstery and was amazed at how quickly and easily this machine got the stains out. The HydroSteam machine was super easy to set up, and the quick start guide was simple to understand. I was able to use the product right away with ease. Not only did I use this product to remove stains from my carpet and furniture, I used the steam only feature to steam clean my toddler's toys, which was probably my favorite part! I love the versatility of the Little Green HydroSteam Pet, and I think it is a great product for households with pets, kids, or both! Our house is full of mess makers-a 2-yo, a dog, two cats and a husband-and this machine does wonders. I used this to clean up spots on our couch and play room rug. The machine was easy and quick to use. My favorite part-the machine is so easy to clean out. Most carpet cleaners leave you a small opening to dump the dirty water from. This one opens completely! While this cleaner wouldn't be my go-to for a larger area rug, it's a definite YES for smaller areas. I even tried this out on a stain that I can tell you even how long it's been there. Voila! Took it right out. The spots on our couch dried quicker than I expected. It's compact, lightweight and effective!

With two kids under four and a dog in the house, messes abound and they always seem to occur on our couch, upholstered dining chairs, and area rugs. I was very happy with how this machine tackled various stains. Upon receiving I had two stains I knew I wanted to try and remove right away. The first, an especially stained upholstered dining room chair. The second, a mystery dried yogurt that was on a couch cushion. To start, setup couldn't be easier! The machine comes with a starter bottle of the cleaning solution and the tank has clear marked lines for where to fill with water and solution. The included manual and quick start instruction are clear and got me started quickly. I decided to go the hard route first and tackle my very stained upholstered chairs. For background, we have owned these for 8 years, they are not stain guarded (regrets that cheap decision lol) and have never been professionally cleaned. I am so happy with the result! I opted to use the steam + clean solution and it was amazing how much dirt came off the seat. Are they perfect? No. However they dramatically better and I think going forward, they are going to look cleaner and be maintained if any future stains occur. Next up was my couch cushions. Again, I chose the steam + clean function and was so happy with the results. The mystery yogurt stains completely came up and I don't have to flip the cushion anymore! All in all - this machine is powerful, not as loud as I expected (still loud but also, yay suction power!) and lightweight. I also appreciate the intuitive knob design that lets you change the setting choice and clear light indicator for when the steam function is ready. The machine itself is very portable, with the cord control feature you don't dread going to the closet to get it out to solve a mess or rejuvenate some drapery or upholstery. The quick guide that comes with the machine is extremely informative and all you need in order to get started with utilizing the machine. My first order of business was to tackle our living room rug. This rug gets the brunt of the household traffic, therefore mystery spots and darker traffic areas show a lot more throughout the week. Following the quick guide, I input the instructed amount of solution/water ratio and got started on spot cleaning the rug. It worked tremendously. We have a cat, therefore you could see the machine working before your eyes while the cat hair was being sucked up and filtered during the cleaning process. The rug looks brand new! The next area I tackled was the couch -- the upholstery needs a bit of a rejuvenation every once in a while and that is exactly what the Little Green HydroSteam Pet was able to provide. I can't wait to make this part of the normal cleaning routine to ensure our furniture lasts many additional years. My favorite feature of the machine is that it is so compact and doesn't take up a lot of storage space. The cord management system and the wrap around hose allows easy storage and ease of grabbing to utilize.

I just got this product and mostly to clean my area rug and spot messes on the floor. What is great about it? I have been on hand and knees with scrub brush, Used the clean and vacs, rented rug cleaners and never has my area rug gotten clean. Heavy traffic areas are just as dirty and dingy. I finally threw up my hands and got this little portable steam cleaner. My area rug looks fantastic. Colors are alive. Light color are not dingy but, bright. It's so wonderful to see this after the steaming and cleaning. And it did not take that long. It was alot fun emptying the black water knowing it is not in my carpet now. Not so great - It would be nice to have a long hard tube you can use to do work standing up - like cleaning a large area. You ask who is the primary mess maker - it's equal parts husband, and pets. And I contribute especially during gardening season

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this to spot clean in my home as well as clean the upholstery in my vehicles. Not sure what the bad reviewers are talking about. The steam generated by this machine can ans will burn your hand if placed near the discharge port on the handle. Another reviewer mentions a leaky tank when handled? Never had any issue with either tank leaking. My only complaint with this is the fact that Bissell doesn't tell you what the part # is for the self cleaning tool. My unit didn't come with it. Other than that, its a great machine.

This little machine has been a lifesaver (house saver) over the past few weeks. This cleaner is lightweight, easy to fill and even easier to empty. The quick startup guide was so helpful, it was simple to figure out which of the three settings to use on what type of stain. This machine was able to remove years old wine stains from our carpet, no problem! I even used it to clean a pet accident on our mattress from our new kitten. I love how quickly I can get the job done with this little machine!
