We have two little ones at home who prefer to use anything fabric to wipe their hands instead of wipes/tissues. This machine is perfect! It is compact and works extremely well which makes it easy to keep within our closet and not tucked away with the larger home appliances. I have taken this out several times just to spot clean since it is very convenient. The steam feature is also a game changer as I feel like it really helps cut down on the time needed to lift the stains if you were to attempt this without the steam feature. The instructions were straightforward and easy to assemble and get to cleaning. The machine is also simple to clean once done which is a plus. I look forward to using this often and on items beyond fabric material. I'm thinking grout in the bathroom and floors will be my next project to steam! Super excited. TLDR; I really enjoyed using this steam cleaner -- it was super light weight so I could maneuver it around the house without issue, and the set-up was extremely quick. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to clean up smaller scale, fresh stains on rugs/carpets around their home. Now for some details...The set-up took about 5 minutes and you can just scan the instructions, overall it was intuitive. Once ready to go, it only takes a few seconds to get heated up and you can start treating the stains. I tried this in two areas - one that's higher traffic for our two large dogs with fresher stains (dirt / dust etc), and another area with more set in stains. In the end, the area with the set in stains didn't get fully cleaned, but the area with the fresher stains was treated well and I'd rate that cleaning around an 8/10. I also loved that you could see all of the dirt pulled out of the cleaned area in the used water compartment - satisfying to know it's really getting in there!! I have not yet needed to use this on any pet urine stains, but definitely expect it'll be quick clean up with this little machine. My only call out for users is that the machine is quite small, thus you'll go through the water in it quickly. For that reason it's definitely better for smaller spaces or spot treatment, I wouldn't recommend this if you're trying to clean a full 9x12 rug, for example.

To be completely transparent, I already had a very similar machine, that my 4-year-old lovingly calls the barf vacuum. The main difference of this machine was the size and the steam capability. I tried it out on some couch stains my dog had left from rubbing up against the couch on a daily basis. I wasn't sure if the marks were even removable. This machine did a fantastic job removing the stains. It was very intuitive to set up, but the directions it came with explained things clearly as well. I tried the steam option, but to be honest, I didn't really see the value in it. This machine seemed to clean the same as the one I already had without the steam option. It did a great job, but the steam had nothing to do with it, and I don't know if I would call that feature a benefit. It certainly didn't hurt anything, but if I needed to buy a new machine, I don't think the steam feature would be on my list of options I had to have. Overall, this is an excellent cleaner, I also tried it on my window tracks, and it was much better than scrubbing by hand. My favorite feature on this machine is its size, its small, light and just as powerful as its bigger competitors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Little Green HydroSteam Pet from Stellar Product Testing Panel to try it out and provide feedback. This little machine was messy but effective. It sprays moisture (sorry I hate that word too) everywhere, so I had to clean up after the clean up and do some soaking up with towels in a few instances. The sucking function of the machine is not quite as strong as I'd hoped. That said, my son is autistic and takes medicine to sleep through the night AND is potty training, you can imagine the number of wet sheets we've changed. Also, his mattress had an enormous yellow stain. This machine lightened the coloring all over and completely removed it in some spots. Also used it on our couches - kids, and cats, and dogs - it did a fabulous job on the cushions. Again, this is not a targeted spray so make sure you put towels down on your hardwood floors or you'll land on your behind as you walk away. Not that I would know that from firsthand experience or anything. It does what it's intending to do and is easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving the "Little Green Hydrosteam Pet"from Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was waiting for the perfect opportunity to present itself to use my new cleaning machine. I finally gave up waiting for a stain to appear and decided to use it on my stairs. Until receiving this product, I've only been able to spot treat stains on my stairs with spray cleaner and a cloth as my upright carpet shampooer is too wide to effectively clean them. The size of this machine is perfect to move up and down the stairs with. It is big enough to hold plenty of water to clean my whole set of stairs (8 steps), yet light enough to not be too weighted down. This machine is very compact and is not bulky or cumbersome. All features were designed to be very user-friendly. The hose is long enough to be able to shampoo at least 3 stairs before having to move it up/down. The hose and cord wrap up onto the machine for orderly storage. It is small enough to keep on a storage shelf and doesn't take up much more room than a slow cooker. All lids and caps are connected to the machine and just flip up/down, so there are no extra lids or pieces to keep track of. Two different hose attachments, are included, one is wider and used to clean a larger surface area, and the other is narrow (same width as the hose) to allow access to smaller/tighter spaces. After I began using the machine and throughly read the instructions, I realized I had many different uses for this little machine. The steam setting is great for cleaning new/superficial stains or sanitizing tile/grout floors. I actually gave this a shot and was able to pull a stain from a grout line in my bathroom that had been there for years. I had an oil based stain on my stairs and used the steam setting first to see how it did, and it appears to have completely removed the stain before ever adding the cleaning formula and cleaning the whole set of stairs. I'm so glad to add this machine to my cleaning arsenal.

I've seen other friends using it with their pets and loving it so I couldn't wait to try it! I was so impressed with how easy it was to set up with the quick guide and the instructions were so clear and easy to understand. It definitely feels like the perfect tool to keep on hand for when we have little messes around the house with three kids and two dogs! I've only had a chance to use it on our rug to the backyard so far but I loved the powerful suction and the steam clean capabilities and the fact that it only takes 30 seconds to start steaming is great for me! I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family with little kids or pets because it will be convenient to store and take out and use in a pinch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this portable carpet cleaner from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I couldn't have been more excited to try it! (Un)luckily for me, I was given the perfect chance to give it a go, when my mom's dog peed on my bed, soaking through to my mattress. Once I noticed the stain, I immediately grabbed my Little Green HydroSteam Pet, and got to work. In a little less than 5 minutes, the pee was gone, and my mattress smelled fresh and clean! I've also used it to clean a food stain from a recliner arm. It was amazing to watch the stain basically disappear as soon as I got the steam and cleaning solution on it! I love how simple it is to set up and use the cleaner. It is super portable, and the wire and hose are cleverly stored on the machine, making it compact and mess free. I'm not always the best at setting up new gadgets, but the instructions provided were very clear, and left no questions unanswered. They even included a handy quick guide attached to the machine itself, which I really appreciated, and found myself referring to a few times when I initially used it. The machine itself is a breeze to use, and I found it weirdly satisfying to watch the dirty water being sucked into the dirty water tank. Once I was finished, clean up was straightforward and took only a few minutes at most. There are three different cleaning modes, depending on the type of stain and object you are using it on, and my favorite feature is the versatility of the items it can clean. It can be used on carpet, upholstery, and even tile and grout! I can't wait to get it working on my shower tile, which definitely is in need of a refresh! I can tell that I will get a ton of use out of this little workhorse, and I will be forever grateful that such a product exists! If I had to improve anything, it would maybe be to make it a bit quieter, as the motor is a bit on the noisy side, and I would be afraid to use it too close to my daughter's room if she was asleep.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked this portable steam cleaner. It was super easy to set up and had an easy to follow instructions. One thing I would have liked was for it to indicate clearly which of the attachments were included as can very quickly lose track of these things while unpacking. It was pretty lightweight and the tanks were easy to take off and reattach without any spills! The clean tank also had full lines to show how much of the cleaner to water is needed. I like how there are three settings. The steam was really great at removing stains from our couch without soaking the cushions so that they dried quickly. The power wash was super effective at cleaning up pet messes from the carpet. Really felt like it was a deep clean with minimal effort. Favourite feature was most definitely the steam and the instructions made it clear that it will take a little time for the steam to start. I thought that the design features with the little copper touches were a nice added touch and that the hose wraps round to store away in a compact manner. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this portable carpet cleaner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this to spot clean in my home as well as clean the upholstery in my vehicles. Not sure what the bad reviewers are talking about. The steam generated by this machine can ans will burn your hand if placed near the discharge port on the handle. Another reviewer mentions a leaky tank when handled? Never had any issue with either tank leaking. My only complaint with this is the fact that Bissell doesn't tell you what the part # is for the self cleaning tool. My unit didn't come with it. Other than that, its a great machine.

The machine was very easy and intuitive to operate and I was using it within minutes of opening the box. I used the machine to clean my couches and while they didn't appear dirty, there was brown water getting sucked up. Gross! I tried the machine on a white rug that is in a high traffic area of my house. Unfortunately I didn't see a big difference before and after using the cleaner. I had another portal carpet / upholstery cleaner from the same company and I like this one so much more. Easier to operate and easy to clean and maintain.
