We purchased this washer approximately 2 months ago. I can’t believe how much I love it. The difference in the way this washer cleans and our previous washer is amazing. The cycles run quickly and the ability to be notified thru Wi-Fi when the cycle completes is so handy. The black steel color looks great. This is the first front load washer we have owned and being able to have the stackable unit in our small space is perfect! Would definitely recommend!

I looked and studied W/D units for two months hoping that my 18 year old washer would make it until I made up my mind. Unit is quiet. Have had no issues. Getting connected to internet was trying t say the least. Instructions are hard to follow, but all at once it connected. No sure what i did, but really like that it tells when cycle is done. Expectations for long trouble free use will have to wait and see.

I washed a few things and the time I realized it, it was already done. Permanent press cycle was done in no time. I wish I had it sooner but now that I have a new machine, doing laundry is a breeze.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this washer to replace our 2011 WM3875HVCA. Several improvements were noted including the door seal design and the shorter cycle times. The ThinQ capability is a "nice to have", but hardly essential. Unfortunately, the designers mechanized the ThinQ connection so that you can only have letters in the network name (SSID). It's relatively common to have some special characters in SSID's (e.g., underscores and dashes) and this restriction can be very limiting in making a connection to a home network. The ThinQ "Download" function is interesting, but LG really missed an opportunity by not allowing the user to build a custom cycle and download that. Our 2011 model had a "Programmable" button that could be configured to whatever configuration the user desired. Not possible in this model, but hopefully something that can be added to the app. Another big miss is that the control panel settings are still not backlit. This makes the settings very hard to read in anything but bright room light. Using a segmented display, rather than a color LCD display, is also a minor miss. Segmented displays can make it hard to read certain characters. Overall, the WM400HBA is a worthy successor to the WM3875 and highly recommened.

Easy to use, easy to select functions, quiet, and really seems to NOT abuse the clothes we wash, and gets them nice and clean. Sad we couldn't get it to open to the other side like we could with the matching dryer, but it's not a big deal. The real test is Time, hope they last

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Much improved over my 16 year old LG front load washer. Excellent features, although I wish the wifi features were richer. It would have been nice to be able to start and stop a wash. Maybe its possible from the iPhone, haven't figured it out yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t had my washer very long, but so far it is great. I love the download capability (i.e. New Clothes setting, etc). All of the technology very convenient with phone alerts etc. washes great & seems very efficient. Love the color as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I knew my washer was dying for a few years, but dealt with it. I’m glad I waited for front loaders to improve, but also sorry I waited so long. My clothes are so clean! Very glad to be rid of the agitator too, no more tangle worries. I love that the app tells me the load is done, this encourages me to take it out right away and reduce the chance of mold. Appreciate the reminder to run a tub clean cycle too. Very, very happy!

I have been using my new washer for over a month and can’t describe how I love it. Best washer I have ever had. The large stainless steel drum is amazing. Short cycles, extreme cleaning capabilities and so quiet even with the spin cycle. Couldn’t be more pleased.
