We had a top loader for 30 years; but the LG unit uses much less water and adapts to the the loads for better performance. Having the steam clean and variable delicate features is a bonus if you want to sanitize.

I bought this a month ago and I'm very happy with my purchase. I love all the settings having replaced a washer that lacked the versatility of this washer. I like the dark gray color and the ability to stack this unit with the matching dryer. Clothes come out clean and drying time is reduced by how well the spin cycle works.

We have been using it for about a month, and using it a lot because everything is so fresh and clean that we're basically washing everything all bedding, pillows, blankets curtains etc.. to freshen the whole house I didn't realize how bad our old machine was until we got this one. We use Earth Breeze laundry sheets it's so easy no measuring or mess. I like all the settings especially the 15 minute turbo wash, it has a lot of features, some I may never use, but maybe? The drain in the front is really handy for letting out the water before leaving on vacation or something so it doesn't get musty.

II was very nervous to find a washer that would be able to do what my last one did. After a lot of research, I replaced it with the updated newer model and it has worked just as well. Easy to use and very efficient.

It many features can be enhanced further using the WiFi connection. The spin cycle is very efficient and helps to speed up drying time. Haven't explored all its feature yet, but the basic ones cover the majority of my needs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was bought as a replacement for our 17-year-old Kenmore; it's only slightly larger and much, much more quiet. I think the water pump is about the loudest thing on it, and it's quiet, too. After a little over 2 months of use it's done well and shown no signs of leaks like the 1- and 2-star reviews mention. The front-access drain is probably the coolest feature for people who like to keep things really clean. We leave the door slightly ajar - it will stay open about an inch on its own if you let it - when not in use and haven't had the least problem with mold/mildew and smells. The smells came when we kept the door closed for a couple days, but went away when we did the clean cycle as recommended. Our clothes are very clean and this seems to do a very good job of balancing loads out so the washer doesn't vibrate and walk all over the place. Then again, we only wash one set of bed sheets at a time... And, of course, the 15-minute speed wash is exactly what it says and does a good job of it, too. We got this washer, plus its stand, plus the Lowe's extended warranty, for less than the Kenmore cost us back in the day; I call it money well-spent. I expect this washer will last a lot longer than the motor warranty (10 years) based on how it's done so far.

This washer does a GREAT job cleaning cloths and is very energy efficient. I also love the fact that it has WIFI and notifies you when the wash has completed if you are away. The thing that I would like to see is a volume control to increase the sound for the signal when the wash has completed.
