[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m still learning. It is quiet and does a great job cleaning our clothes. The cycles take less time so I assume require less water and electricity. The cons I have are: The end of cycle signal is difficult to hear, even in close proximity, though I have excellent hearing. I would love a lighted drum. The glass is so dark you cannot see inside as the clothes are washing. I bought a flashlight so I can see inside. Why? Because I want to know how the machine is operating. The display panel is a little dim and difficult to read. The design is very plain, without much character or flair. My Whirlpools were much classier in appearance. Overall, I am very happy with this washer and would recommend it to a fiend.

ThinQ washer was delivered 06/20/2024. As soon as it was unboxed and the washer door opened, it emitted a horrible acrid smell that irritates the throat, filled the whole downstairs with the stench. We've never had a new appliance smell so awful. One month later, the odor has dissipated somewhat, however it's still there. We've tried the tub clean cycle with bleach as a service tech suggested, but the odor remains, albeit much less than new. This is a five star product if not for the terrible odor. In our opinion, if you or your family have asthma, you may want to consider a different brand, as it definitely aggravated my wife's asthma.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this machine after ours went out suddenly after having been rebuilt two years ago. This new machine is a front loader with many settings which are a great help compared to the previous machine. It cleans well and is recommended by a magazine which does evaluations. We especially like the feature which advises how much time is left. Another plus is the ability to add all products; soap, fabric softener, etc. at the beginning of the cycle and be done with it. If you've ever used a laundromat machine, you will love this machine. A great machine.

For some reason we are not able to use this machine at a medium spin cycle or faster because it is so extremely loud that its shakes the whole kitchen and has actually broken a glass bowl near it. Even though it is only a few months old at this point, this defect is making it so that we can't use it even on a slower spin cycle. This limits when we can use the machine when the kids are asleep because it would wake them up. I really wanted to like this machine, but this has been terribly inconvenient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I like: This machine cleans really well. It spins the clothes quite dry. FIVE STARS for this. What I don't like: (1) The User Interface on this machine is horrid. Turn it on and lights flash around the cycle dial.Distracting, useless 'feature'. The light stops on 'normal' cycle. But then you have to click it once to activate that cycle. And, you must SLOWLY turn it to switch between cycles. Push buttons would be better, faster and more functional for someone doing several loads of laundry. ONE STAR (or ZERO) (2) Downloadable wash cycles. ONE cycle. Only one. And you cannot change the installed cycle programs. Default water temp on Perm Press, Normal, other cycles seesm to be either Cold or Warm. Never tap cold. So I was going to log in and reconfigure the standard cycles to all start at Tap Cold. Not possible. ZERO STARS. This 'feature' is useless. (3) Delay option: I like this. Would like to be able to set for 15 minutes or 30 minutes. Not possible. Only sets at whole hours. Also, not programmable. TWO STARS. (4) No 'soak' cycle. Yes, I can do this by setting a wash cycle, then stopping the machine for a while before rinse. Having 'soak' cycle would not require manual intervention. Also, 'soak' is not a downloadable option. ZERO STARS. (5) The panel on the right for selecting options is hard to read - get rid of the flashing lights on cycle selection knob and backlight the option selection panel. ONE STAR.

I had a previous LG front load washer that was still going strong after 15 years when we sold the house. After moving into a rental with a top load Whirlpool with agitator plate - I was shocked how terrible it was at washing clothes. The clothes never felt, looked or smelled clean. I Purchased this LG WM4000 front load washer during Labor Day sale and it was delivered & set up within a few days. Ordering was all done online and was a smooth and easy process. This new machine is amazing. Everything comes out CLEAN again!!! Plus it fits my quilts and blankets with ease and they turn out great!! I can't tell you what a difference it is over that horrible top load from Whirlpool. As an FYI - I always wash with warm or hot water with small amount of powdered detergent & Borax. Never had a problem in 15 years with my previous front loader from LG with mold/mildew or smells - I always wiped down inside rubber seal and kept door ajar for drying. Also always removed clothes promptly when done for drying. You will never have a problem if you do this. I highly recommend this LG front load washer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had of before. Great. Sold my units with my house. Had to buy a new set. Got this pair. Clothes are war hot when done. Washing in cop or tap water no steam. Tried everything. Glasses steamed up when opening door. Top of unit was warm after three loads of testing it. Got a replacement unit and it seems the same. What can I be doing wrong?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this last fall and wish I had bought it sooner! It does a great job of washing clothes and extracting almost all of the water in the spin cycle, which cuts down on drying time. This is my second front load washer and the door seal has been greatly improved over my 30 year old model! I only wish a users guide would be included with the machine in addition to the operators manual in order to show all the features of the unit. I do not like going online every time I need to refer to the users guide.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently bought a new washer and dryer set and so far I am loving both appliances. They are quiet, there's no leakage, and the cycles are pretty quick! No complaints here. They look nice and sleek on the outside too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer is a lot better than the one I bought 9+ years ago. It cleans better, is quieter, and much more stable (less vibration overall) and I really like it, except for two things (which is why I deducted one star). It's very difficult to read the labels on the display, even in a well-lighted room, so it's hard to see what the little lights mean. The other thing is that I am extremely sensitive to EMF and cannot have wi-fi anywhere in my immediate environment. Before I bought this set (also got the matching dryer), I asked LG via chat if the wi-fi could be disabled and was told it was disabled by default. Not so! This machine gives off a full 4 bars of radiation, unless one opens the machine and disconnects the chip sending the signal, even when the machine is off. I think this is a serious design flaw, and should be rethought. Health should not be sacrificed for convenience and wi-fi is not good for one's health. Otherwise, though, this machine is the best!
