[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the washer and dryer after our LG dryer stopped working after 6 years. Overall we’re very happy. Everything seems cleaner and softer than our previous model produced. We had smell/build up with previous model and this seems like an improved design. We have a 2nd floor laundry area and there is definitely less vibration! We are having problems setting up the app and WiFi features. Hopefully we’ll troubleshoot that.

About week 6 after delivery we notices water stains on the run coming from under the washer. Turns out the water hose from behind the soap trays wash leaking and a service call was required. Problem was fixed but now we need to have the rug replaced. To do that the washer/dryer and several cabinets must be removed from the room.

Simple to operate and quiet, making this a great purchase. This is our first front loader and were skeptical, but other family members own LG and are very satisfied. Great buy!

After reading countless reviews of different brands and models I settled on LG wm4000hwa. It replaces a 11 year old Maytag that still worked, but figured it would eventually have issues & parts would be hard to come by. So enter LG. So far it's quiet & gets a FULL load done in 29 minutes with the Turbo wash activated. That is automatic in most cycles. It does have a slight "hum" from time to time during cycles, but nothing loud. No issues with spinning, leaving water in drum After completing cycle, or getting off balance. There have been some that mentioned that , but I have not encountered that. Clothes are really spun dry & are pretty stuck to the drum, but easy to remove. Give them a shake, put in dryer & no wrinkles. Cycle modifiers are available on many of the pre set's, but some can't be done unless you change the type of cycle. The full manual that it came does a very good job of explaining all that, so read it. Any other ? Can easily be found on the web. I haven't used the wifi, as I really don't need that. I got this model for the Turbo wash feature. Being notified on my smartphone about it wash process is not important for me. And I have a different dryer so it wouldn't communicate with it anyway. Now for the information panel. It's not back-lit but it doesn't take long to figure out the options & modifiers. If you touch it , it does cycle with a light showing you what modifiers you are selecting. IE: you touch the water temperature to cycle through the tap cold, warm & hot & etc. It then lites up to the 1 you want for that cycle which will differ from the pre program cycle you choose, IF that modifier is available for that cycle. So, in conclusion- this is so far a very nice washer with many features & I got it on a black Friday sale that is going on at most big box stores, local appliance stores & at LG website also. They price match. It's way faster than my old front loader, gets clothes clean, spins well & fast washes. My on recommendation would be that the entire panel be back-lit so you could easily see all the choices for modifiers. Am happy with the purchase. Never had LG before, but no complaints here. High Consumer reports, so went for it.

Well, I have had this machine for a little over a month now, and I must say I'm impressed so far— no issues. It goes through a load reasonably fast. It's not very noisy. The only issue I have is that it did not come with a drum light. LG kind of dropped the ball on that— other than that, I highly recommend this machine.

I am very satisfied with the performance of the washer to clean laundry but very disappointed that the WiFi feature does not work. After several phone calls to technical support and a service, the WiFi is still not operating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine has a much larger capacity than my previous LG front loader, and actually seems to be too big but it's either that or tiny. Fast regular cycle with Turbowash seems good. Weird loud moaning noises happen during agitation, like a pump trying to do something will require a service call to check it out. Not happy with the noise level overall.

It is relatively vibration free and offers advanced features like turbo and steam wash. You can also download custom wash programs for things like wool sweaters. It is controllable via Wi-Fi as well.

I had a previous LG front load washer that was still going strong after 15 years when we sold the house. After moving into a rental with a top load Whirlpool with agitator plate - I was shocked how terrible it was at washing clothes. The clothes never felt, looked or smelled clean. I Purchased this LG WM4000 front load washer during Labor Day sale and it was delivered & set up within a few days. Ordering was all done online and was a smooth and easy process. This new machine is amazing. Everything comes out CLEAN again!!! Plus it fits my quilts and blankets with ease and they turn out great!! I can't tell you what a difference it is over that horrible top load from Whirlpool. As an FYI - I always wash with warm or hot water with small amount of powdered detergent & Borax. Never had a problem in 15 years with my previous front loader from LG with mold/mildew or smells - I always wiped down inside rubber seal and kept door ajar for drying. Also always removed clothes promptly when done for drying. You will never have a problem if you do this. I highly recommend this LG front load washer.
