Impressive machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the washer six months ago. It's quiet and cleans well and has a large capacity. With Turbo Wash it takes about half an hour to do my load, which is not a full load---maybe three fourths full. How long it takes seems to be based on weight. The only minus is tangling with a large load that has many long sleeved items.

Awesome Washing Machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this washing machine almost 2 weeks ago and I can’t be happier! Love that I can disinfect & steam our clothes. I can control the washer from my iPhone & I get alerts when the wash is done. No more wasted trips down to the basement to see if the wash is done! Super happy with our purchase!

So far So good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of weeks ago and so far so good. I had the same top loading old school washer for almost 20 years and it was just time for a new one after repairs would be too expensive to justify. I was a little apprehensive in getting a front loader, but after reading online reviews and rankings, I determined that this is probably the best bet for me. I am still getting used to all the variables that can go into a wash cycle on it. I am horrible at remembering to get clothes out of the wash so the app notifying me that the clothes are done is nice. It also has a feature that you can enable that will allow the clothes to tumble once in awhile if you do forget them to help with wrinkles. So far the clothes seem like they are cleaned well and when they are done, they don't need too much time in dryer as this thing spins the crap out of them! I can certainly see how this can be energy efficient. I have forgotten to put in soap on one occasion and almost on a few occasions. I don't know why that is. I guess because I was always just used to putting it in with the clothes instead of pulling out a drawer and putting it in there. Maybe a little reminder would be cool feature to add. Anyway. I don't have any complaints yet, but LG asked for a review and this is it.

So quiet and efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the LG thin washer and dryer about 2 weeks ago. Just amazing machines. I haven't figured out how to put on my smart phone but really easy to use. Super quiet and sings when done. No silly noise from machines. After the washing machine is finished the clothes are really wringed out so doesn't need time I the dryer. I also used the wrinkle cycle and was amazed how my skirt came out, just beautiful . Wonderful machines.

Serious defect, LG responded well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Washer had detached hook from drum to the assembly and made a horrible noise on test run. LG responded promptly and sent technician. I have been satisfied with the washer since the repair but cannot give an excellent rating because of the initial issue. LG response to the problem was excellent, so a point in their favor.

Turbo Wash out of control

We have really enjoyed our LG washer now for a year. It washes clothes well and does an excellent job of spinning out the water, making drying easier. Recently, when using normal or heavy duty mode, it defaults to "turbo wash" and there is no way I can turn it off. When I use other modes, the turbo wash does not come on, even with the same load. It seems that the washer weighs what I have put in and if it is not "heavy enough" then the turbo wash kicks in and I can't get it to turn off! The machine has a mind of its own and will not listen to my direction. It seems that this just started in the last 3 months, probably related to a software update. I love everything about this washer, except for when it does not listen to me. It reminds me of the SciFi films when machines take over and mankind is doomed!

Great Combo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the ThinQ matching washer and dryer. Both work extremely well. I love the connection between the two, such as whatever Yule I used for the washer, the dryer will automatically select the matching cycle when turned on.

Loaded with Features and Functions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pleasantly surprised at how the technology of cleaning clothes has grown since I last bought a washer/dryer, maybe 15 years ago. I actually look forward to doing laundry now. Here are just a few of the very useful features: 1. The Thin Q app provides many additional wash cycles to choose from. The nice part about this is you don't have to remember a bunch of settings, nay. I just need to ask myself what I am washing and pick the cycle for that load. In other words, Baby Clothes? Beachwear?, Delicate Dresses? Hand Wash/Wool? These and more are cycles you can download and run... All settings optimized. Even a house husband like me can figure this out. Another cool feature is my washer is linked to my dryer and it instructs my dryer on what is on its way AND how to dry it. How cool is that? I am so glad my old machine broke down. There is no comparison in the quality of cleaning. It's also eco-friendly.

Good machine, with some quirks.

I have had this machine for almost a year. Does a good job. However, there are two issues. One, for Normal wash the cycle time comes up as 29 minutes. LG documents state it should be 45-49 minutes. The total cycle time changes to 45 minutes if I adjust the cycle speed to highest. Service person stated that the 29 min. "is in the computer" and he can do nothing about it. Two, at the finish of the wash all the clothes are piled up in the rear half of the drum. Having that distribution during spin decreases the machine's ability to extract water. Again, service person stated that is the way the machine is designed.

Happy! Happy! Happy!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We could not be happier with this purchase! Cleans well and has plenty of options for choosing load requirements; water temperature, spin, Rinse and Spin, Turbo Wash, etc. We have not used the Smart Features yet. The Turbo Wash is nice as it cuts down washing time but the clothes still come out clean and are not wrapped and tangled together like a top loading machine. We had to special order this machine and during the time we waited for it to come in, we had to use the local Laundry Mat. We brought the wet clothes/towels home and used our LG dryer to dry them. The lint from the clothes and towels by using this machine (or our previous Samsung front loader that served us well for 11 years) has been easily less then 20X the amount of lint on the lint screen, as compared to what we saw on our dryer lint screen after having used the top loader at the Laundry Mat and then drying those clothes and towels in our home dryer. (Note: The Laundry Mat top loader had been rated the highest as one if the highest for top loaders by Consumer Reports.) Front loaders are so GENTLE on the clothes! I have also washed bulkier items on the bedding cycle and they come out clean and the machine has not jumped around on the floor during the Spin cycle. Do not use too much detergent, especially with bulkier items, or else you will be using the Rinse and Spin Cycle to get the soap residue out of the items and also from inside the door! No complaints so far on this beautiful machine!
