I purchased the washer 2 weeks ago and am very happy with it. I had LG washers & dryers in the past so I knew what I was getting. It gets clothes very clean and the 10-year warranty is a testimony to their reliability. The only disappointment is that I can't connect it to the ThinQ app because the network must be 2.4GHz and my network is 5GHz. Hopefully LG will have a firmware update for that before long

Just got this one to replace my last 4.0 cu. ft. machine. It’s doing an excellent job getting my clothes cleaned while being a major upgrade in looks. So many great settings and options for quick wash cycles, various cycles to treat my clothes, towels, and bedding properly. The super fast spin does a great job of cutting down on dry time. Various heat and sanitizing options with steam are a huge plus for keeping bedding fresh. I also love the new steel color. I’ve trusted LG for years, and when my motor finally gave out after almost ten years for the last machine, LG set me up with a discount for this new machine in lieu of a repair. So happy with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: This is a very quiet front load washer with many excellent features. It has a good load capacity, and is gentle on the clothes. The ability to download a custom wash cycle is a nice benefit, and we’ve used the “small load” cycle several times. Cons: Not many! The wireless notification capability has been iffy, although there is an excellent signal and the LG dryer beside it has had no notification problems. That’s not a big deal, though. Finally, the control panel on the upper right is not backlit, and the print is not very prominent, so the lettering is difficult to see for those that have some vision impairment.

This is my second LG laundry set. The engineering in this set is astounding, and it has improved greatly over the set I bought ten years ago. The turbo wash feature makes so much sense, and I have been waiting for this. It solves the problem of the load taking so much time to get completely saturated when it starts; a problem that seems inherent to tilted-axis washers. So now you get the advantage of the tilted axis without the old disadvantage. The direct-drive washing action is well thought-out. The washer is quiet, attractive, and spins so fast that the dryer is almost and afterthought. Buy this washer!

It's easy to see how much and where to add the detergent. I just cleaned out the filter for the first time, which wasn't difficult. I keep a towel on top of the washer to wipe the door and rubber seal after each wash. I love the intelligence of the washer, self-adjusting and telling me how long each load will take. This new technology removes guesswork and makes laundry easy and fun!

The WM4000HBA was very similar in features and capacity. Have had it about 3 weeks and like it. It is quieter than the old model, and provides a lot more feedback as to what it is doing.

It was more expensive than traditional washers but I think does pretty much the same job. Only time will tell if this was worth the money but I am hopeful.

I also love how gentle it is on my clothes and yet gets deeply ingrained stains out. Even the third party delivery person remarked that we bought the best washer. He says that people rave about these machines and they are much more dependable than the others that he delivers.
