It's not really designed for large areas. The little brush on the back doesn't help as much as I had hoped, and you end up just pushing dirt around, but for small areas, it's great. I really like it for my bathroom floors. A lot of unseen things on these floors. To do my larger areas, I got the Bissell Crosswave, which I like except I wish they had figured a way to separate the dry dirt from the dirty water. Clean up can be a little gross. If I need to do a little extra cleaning around the base boards and certain areas I'll use the Steam mop. I have yet to find the perfect floor cleaner, but so far both these products do make my life easier.
Not perfect but worth it.

No harsh chemicals, no lingering odors. The mop is fairly light and super simple to use. I kind of enjoy mopping and seeing the floors shine. It came with 2 scented tablets that sit in the mop head, but I haven't used them yet, and 2 interchangeable mop heads. The water canister is small yet surprisingly you rarely have to refill it. The only three downsides I'd say are that it's a little hard to push on our hardwood floors, it takes a bit more effort which can be tiresome. It would also be nice if it was cordless. The cord is has a generous length so you don't have to continuously plug and unplug as you mop but havi...

After the first mopping I couldn't believe the dirt it picked up! And the fact that all you need is water makes it SO much better as I do not use cleaning products with chemicals in them.

I'm just not sure it's really getting my floors clean, I have a slate floor and it's rough surface is difficult to mop, I had hoped the steam mop would make it easier. But I feel like it just dampens and heats the floor without picking up much dirt. Sanitizing takes 15-20 seconds so there's no way I could sanitize my entire floor at that pace, it would take hours! The mop pads do not seem to come clean in the wash, I expected them to at least look cleanish after washing if not pristine white. They are almost as brown as they were before I used them, after soaking and washing twice.

The first 2 were of the same brand, which I won't mention. I loved the first one. Hated the 2nd! Then I took my chances with the Bissell. I love it. I like the size of the mop head. It has the removable water tank that I didn't have on my last one. I love that I have a choice of 3 steam settings. Tank holds more than enough water to clean all the floors I have to clean. I'm glad it came with 2 mop head covers. By the looks of them when I am done steaming my floors, it is doing a super job. The weight is good, not too heavy. I wish the cord was about a foot longer. Price was good.

One thing I would improve is being able to use it with regular tap water instead of buying distilled water all the time. Also I was hoping this product would clean better the grout joints on my ceramic floors it is mainly the reason why I bought it, however after 3 times usage they are slightly lighter. Overall Im happy with my purchase as Im a dog owner and I have 3 small kids but there is always room for improvement.
