[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this steamer to use on my tile floors. It does a great job after vacuuming the floors. The old one, an identical model, lasted four years or so. I was disappointed that the first one didn't last longer, but it did a nice enough job that I opted for the same unit.

Pros: - Long cord - Wide cleaning path - Carpet glider attachment - Stands upright Cons - Awful water tank design. Like, criminally bad. - Mop pads a pain to get on - Has to go through 20-30 second reheat prep cycle anytime it's unplugged and plugged back in I've previously owned a Shark Genius mop and a PureClean pull-behind steam mop. I loved the Shark because you don't have to touch the pads and it's very easy to fill and get going, but it fell over a lot because it can't stand on it's own and it crapped out by year two. The PureClean was awesome because you could do the whole house in one go with no refill or reheating and had a lot of attachments, but it took a while to get hot so it wasn't good for quick cleans. It lasted me 5 years. I chose this Bissell thinking it'd be easy to use and I liked the idea of being able to steam my carpets, but I just don't enjoy using it. The water tank is hard to pull out, it had almost no grip to the design so you have to grip it very tight and pull up to get it out. Because it's angled on the top, you can't set it down on the counter to fill it up or it'll topple over. You have to hold it in one hand the entire time, and pour water in with the other. This is by far the dumbest part of the entire design. Also, it only holds enough water for about 800 square feet at a time, so if you're doing a larger area, you'll have to turn off the mop, take the tank out, unscrew it, refill it, put the lid back on, place it back in, then wait for the reheat. With my genius I could just pop the tank door open and pour more water in. The mop pads wrap around the bottom of the mop with elastic, which I didn't think would be an issue, but it's a pain compared to my last two mops. I have to flip the whole mop upside down and try to grip it between my legs, or lay it down on the floor to put a new pad on. Taking the pad off isn't too bad because of the pull tabs, but you still have to touch it. With my last to mops I just threw the pad on the floor and placed the head on the pad. The Shark used a folding design and the PureBliss was like a velcro. Don't get me wrong, this mop cleans well and the carpet glider is a nice-to-have, but I wouldn't buy it again or recommend it to a friend.

First impression of this machine is a good one, too early to give a complete review, everything is still new. Best way to give a complete review should come after 5 years, let's see if this thing still works. Anyone can make a product that last for a short time, good quality can only be gauged over time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never felt that I was getting my floors really clean when using a mop, and had zero inclination to get down on my hands and knees to actually scrub the floor. I couldn't wait to use this steam cleaner. The night before it arrived, I vacuumed and mopped the floors as usual. I was both delighted and shocked by the dirt that was on the mop head. This is a whole new level of clean. The steam cleaner is easy to assemble, and the cloth mop heads are easy to put on and take off. My only complaint is that the handle seems flimsy and it easily falls over. That's why I gave only 4 stars I love this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the product on my linoleum floors. I like that I don't have to use any chemicals, and it only used 2 cups of water to clean the entire floor. I like the rectangular shape of the head so that it can clean the corners of the room. It's very easy to use and it isn't a strain on the back.

With the Bissell steammop not only can my kids use it but it's a money saver! I no longer have to buy throw away pads. I would highly recommend it to anyone.. Most importantly, the pads STAY ON! The mop heads on my last mop would not stay on. Very annoying! The floors are beautiful when mopped. Very pleased!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife gave up the old mop a few years ago when I first got her our first Bissell Steam Mop. She loves the fact that the wood floors, as well as the tiled floor are thoroughly cleaned. I have purchase a second Bissell as back-up. It's a wonderful machine, easy to operate and maintain. I can only stress one important point to the users: Use distilled water as recommended by the manufacturer!
