I use the lowest setting for the wood floors and don't hold it in one spot for too long. My floors are spotless. Love that everything is so clean and I didn't have to use chemicals. I have 3 dogs and get very nervous about using chemicals to clean my floors.

I will always give an initial 5 star rating (which it deserves in the beginning) but in less than a year it will be a zero because they always die around a year (one at 7 months). I will focus on why I love it. When it is working it cleans so well. We have four large breed dogs and our flooring is all hard surface. Love the clean feeling afterwards and how everything shines. I tried another brand but just did not like it as well (obviously it died too). The cord is long. Pulling the water container out is tough but overall it great as long as it lasts.

But I've bought this a second time bc it gets the floors cleaned... simply. The other devices have their place. Rollers and vacuums and changing the water out. They work. They are intense.... But they are .... involved. This is simply, very hot steam, on a mop head and... pow!!... clean. Squeak my shoes on the floor clean. Add an extra mop head to do the whole house, add a scented disk and it smells clean. The price is right for the (simple) clean you get.

My floors look and feel (in stocking feet) clean. The dirt and grit are removed without scrubbing and harsh chemicals.

I also used the carpet glider attachment and I love it. What I like most about this steam mop is that not a lot of water comes out at one time, so your floors aren't soaking wet and it dries super fast. Great product! #sweepstakes

The only thing I wish was improved was the water tank. It can be difficult to grip and slide out. Otherwise it's definitely a MUST if you've been hesitant!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third Bissell after 22 years. Love it! Bissell finally got it 100% right! The pad is easy to put on the machine. I like having a pad for hardwoods and a pad for other things such as my kitchen linoleum. I love the fact that I have options for the amount of steam to be used. I also love the fact that it turns on and off after you plug it in. I will now go buy distilled water to use so I don't break this cleaner.

I just purchased my hard floor steam cleaner a few weeks ago. I am very happy with the results I have gotten from it. I have 3 furbabies so it's important to me to use as few chemicals as possible around them. This does the job and is chemical free. The only thing I would change is I wish you would get to mop cloths instead of just the one. That way if one was in the wash there would be another one available.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my Bissell Steam Mop! I take it to all my family members house and clean their floors with it too! I was previously using a shark steam mop, and it does not come close to cleaning as good as my Bissell.
