The unit is great on our tile floors as well as hardwood. A bonus is the pads from the old one fit this one.

I can steam mop two rooms without unplugging. The variations of steam is also great. Heavier steam for tiles and lighter steam for wood floors. With the other attachments for steaming rugs I have used it on my mattresses also!

I have laminate flooring also but I am afraid to try it d/t possibly warping the floors. My only complaint is that you must go & unplug it if you need to stop for anything. #sweepstakes

The old one, an identical model, lasted four years or so. I was disappointed that the first one didn't last longer, but it did a nice enough job that I opted for the same unit.

This power steam mop has made the world of difference in keeping my floors clean. It is such an improvement over my previous steam mop by another manufacturer. In fact, having bragged about the ease of using this steam cleaner, I've now bought one for my niece and am about to purchase another one for a friend. As you can see, I'm a believer!!

I had waited and had researched quite a while for a steam cleaner (about 2 years) looking at the various brands and the reviews of the products available. One of the major pros to why I purchased one now: the ability to remove the water cartridge to empty it! Other pros include I had read about and also since I have used it: it is lightweight, has variable steam settings, the water lasts quite a while to cover a large area before it needs to be refilled, its swivel head, it stands upright locked in place until ready to use, and it is a USA company (still run by a family member). I own two other Bissell products and although I always try to buy from an American company, this would not be the only reason I purchased from this company - it was because of the reviews I had read about this steam cleaner before buying it, and again, their products are always quality made and designed with the user in mind! I had my doubts about my hardwood floors after reading people who said don't use a steam mop on hardwood. It does not get them too wet. It drys fast and the floors are left super clean with no residue.

It does the job, however, the steam is going constantly, my older model had a button so ot wouldn't have the steam going all the time, I wish this one had the "on demand" option
