I have used the Steam Mop - 1940 on my hardwood floors and on our basement tile floor. The machine is very easy to use. It is quiet, lightweight, and does a nice job on the floor. The removable/washable mop head makes cleanup very convenient and easy.

Just dry swifter or vacuum your hardwood floors first then use the steam Bissell. It's also great for doing a quick spot clean on carpet that may have had a spill or pet accident on it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use the mop mainly for our ceramic floors. Have used it occasionally on our hardwood floors. Works great on both surfaces and saves time over traditional mopping. The steam makes it easy to clean stubborn dirt spots. The mop was easy to put together and very easy to operate.

I like that this uses no chemicals, just water. Works pretty well (there's nothing as good as scrubbing by hand). I can't use a standard mop or do hands and knees scrubbing due to back issues. This still took some work to push it along the floor but was doable. It is really lightweight. Need to go over an area a few times but does clean it up with patience. Of course we have two big dogs and live where it rains a lot so the floor is constantly a dirty mess. This is a tool I can use every few days to keep it in control. Would work great for normal (no big dog muddy) use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Power Fresh Floor Mop, it's general construction but it can be improved. An on off switch on the unit or in cord cord would be nice. I don't get the aroma disk as they are usable for one time really. But most importantly it doesn't leak !! I've only used it on ceramic about 3 times and hopefully it'll stay leakfree.......so far so good...and clean

Now quick and painless with this steamer. It functions as advertised. Stores easily. Great how the steamer head can be thrown in the washer and made ready for next time. But I've bought this a second time bc it gets the floors cleaned... simply. The other devices have their place. Rollers and vacuums and changing the water out. They work. They are intense.... But they are .... involved. This is simply, very hot steam, on a mop head and... pow!!... clean. Squeak my shoes on the floor clean. Add an extra mop head to do the whole house, add a scented disk and it smells clean. The price is right for the (simple) clean you get.

The PowerFresh® Steam Mop Hard Floor Steam Cleaner did a great job on the bathroom tile - including the tile in the shower that had a lot of soap scum built up. I also lifted it up and steamed the glass shower doors and was extremely impressed with how well steam and the scrubbing pad did on them.
