[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 2nd Bissell Floor Steam Cleaner! I just had to replace my Bissell steam cleaner after years of use. I especially like that it sanitized and left my floors beautifully clean. I like it so much I have purchased a new one.

The only thing I've noticed is that the fabric covers, after washing them, don't clean very well. They still look dirty coming out of the wash. Who knows though, maybe it's removing a lot more grime than my old steam mop and that's why. In the end, I'm pleased with this purchase.

I use the PowerFresh 1940 on my linoleum kitchen floor, slate entryway, and ceramic bathroom floor. It works great on the ceramic bathroom floor (5 stars), pretty good on the linoleum kitchen floor (4 stars), and not very good on the slate entryway (1). It leaves a white residue streak over parts of my dark colored slate entryway. I think that's because many, many years ago, I put wax on it to add a shine. I would suggest not letting the steamer sit on your floor while you wait for the steam to stop after you turn it off. I'm afraid it may ruin the floor so I have to hold it up in the air until it cools down. Next time, I will have something ready to set the steamer on so I don't have to hold it while I move furniture. I give it 5 stars for drying fast and it is quicker than the way I previously cleaned my floors. After I solve the problem of having to keep holding it up off the floor so the steam doesn't sit on one spot as I move furniture, I'm sure I will give it a much higher rating.

I love the fact that you can turn the steam on and off when you want to and that there are 3 steam settings, the steamer head is large, AND that it stands upright on its own! Love it! Love it! Love it!

Worth it. It's easy and simple to use. Perfect for college kids. I got one for my friend's elderly mom because she loved mine so much and is user friendly.

Does a great job on grout , sticky kitchen cooking splatter, and dirty footprints when bringing in food thru the garage. Setup is quick and simple. Mopping is a breeze. When I was able to get down on the floor and wash by hand occasionally, it was Ok but now I am not able to do so and this steam cleaner did a great job getting in the grooves making the floor a lot more clean than it has been in a while with a Swiffer mop. It will take at least one more hard cleaning to get it all the way cleaned up but I was totally impressed with the first go around and am glad I purchased this unit. #sweepstakes

This is my third steamer & could not believe the difference in the performance. While cleaning floors better than the other two, the amount of water left behind by the Bissell was minimal. Love the fact that the head swivels allowing you to clean in minimal spaces. Extremely pleased with my purchase!

It leaves the floor a little bit more damp than my previous steamers (different brand), but if it continues to do well, I'm buying the rotating mop steamer. Very happy. I'm using ONLY distilled water. Please note that. I killed two other steamers (not Bissell) by using tap water. Just don't do it.
