We have 5 dogs that eat, drink and play throughout the house, this helps us keep the floors clean, the rooms fresh, and everyone healthy. It is used most often in the kitchen and bathrooms, where cleanliness is necessary at all times.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have birch floors. They have their original finish and this Bissell is the best way to keep them clean and bright. Just dry swifter or vacuum your hardwood floors first then use the steam Bissell. It's also great for doing a quick spot clean on carpet that may have had a spill or pet accident on it.

Followed instructions and used it on our kitchen floor (tile). Was amazed at how much dirt came up from a "clean" floor that was just moped the day before. Plenty of steam too. Not sure about using it on the carpeted rooms with the slider attachment that was provided. Will have to experiment some time. I am anxious to use it on our hardwood floors in other parts of the house. Would highly recommend the 1940 based on its performance so far. Have several other Bissell products that are great so I expect this item to be every bit as good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Large kitchen tile floor. i love this steam mop my floor has never felt or looked cleaner. Only regret is not owning one for last 18 years of doing this floor! I have only had a few weeks but used several times already. So easy to use I can't believe I never owned one. Cleans right up to edges and corners with no dirt pushed against baseboards. Only thing that would enhance this mop for me personally would be the clean sent of murphys oil that I love. Using plain water without scented tabs due to the fact that strong scents bother me.

I really like this steam mop. I've only used it twice since I purchased it, but the mop did a great job. I don't really like the scent discs, but that's because I have a sensitive nose and I though it was a really strong scent. No problem, I just don't use them. I am happy with my new mop. I love the longer cord and the large mop head. Makes clean up go much faster.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Decent product, does what it needs to do for my hardwoods. Carpet attachment is only good for maybe killing germs, but nothing else. The "scrubby pads" don't scrub anything, so don't waste money (like I did) purchasing extras.

Like how light weight it is and the steam level options are great. So easy to use. The carpet glide I got with it is fabulous and with 4 pets helps me give those little messes the final certain cleaning and deodorizing needed. Like this steam only mop much better than the dual steam and vac. I put a couple drops of tea tree oil inside the fabric cover for fresh smell.
