Leaves the floor soaking wet, a major slip hazard, and streaks horribly. The pad isn't held in firm contact with the floor surface. Steam condenses back into liquid very quickly in the ridiculous chambers on the underside of the machine head (microfiber mounting plate). The floor looks similar to any mopped floor after the unit passes over it. Stupid design. Microfiber won't clean at all if it isn't healed uniformly against the surface to be cleaned. This machine can create significant damaged to engineered wood floors due to the fact that most of what is dispensed is merely hot water, not steam.

I always dreaded cleaning my tile floors. Using this steam mop makes this job so much easier. I was really impressed at the amount of steam and the way it lifted my spots off the floor. It was so easy to use that I proceeded to clean my wood floors as well on steam level one. Loved the smell of the Eucalyptus water.

I purchased this product in June and have used it twice. I was an absolutely die-hard hands and knees type of floor cleaning fanatic. Since our entire 3000 square ft. home has tile floors, mopping was always an all day job. Much to my surprise, I LOVE my PowerFresh Steam mop! The floor feels so clean and it takes half the time to clean without sore knees! I researched on line prior to purchase and am glad to report that the raves are truly accurate. For ease, convenience and powerful cleaning this is definitely the right product. It is lightweight and filling the water reservoir is very convenient. Thanks, Bissell.

The only reason I did not give this 5 stars was due to it was to replace the old mod and bucket for my mom, but I think this may be tiring for her to push on some surfaces (tiled floor). Not that she cannot but due to her back issues it may be difficult. I can use it with ease and one tank of water allows me to do my kitchen, den, and dining room. I don't know the square footage but it beats the mop and bucket routine hands down. Plus the benefit of the steam killing the germs opposed to hot water in a bucket. Cord is long and the entire unit is light. I hope to get many years of use out of it.

I own a small house cleaning company and we only use natural products, so I've tried out a few steam mops in my day and this one is by far the best! For my floors at home, I was only able to get them clean with my old steam mop when using extra cleaner and a scrubbing pad. I bought this mop because of the included scrubbing pad, but the mop is so powerful, I can use the regular pad too with great results. I have old white linoleum in my kitchen and a 100 lbs puppy who loves to dig, so my floors need some TLC every day and this mop is what the doctor ordered! This steam mop has an extra long cord, too, so I am able to do my entire kitchen as I was never able to do with previous mops I've tried -a definite plus!

I bought the Power Fresh Steam Mop after moving to a new home with tile floors and noticing that my old steam mop was leaving streaks. After vacuuming, my floors will look clean then I run this mop and I am amazed at how much dirt it picks up. I love that it is light weight, easy to use, and requires only one refill to clean my entire house.

I loved this steamer, using distilled water, it made my tile floor so smooth and clean!!! I would usually do each area two times each time with a fresh floor pad, I just really liked the way it cleaned. Then two weeks ago as I was on round two in the kitchen, just like that, NOTHING!! DEAD!!! I am really sad, since I have tried the Shark and I must say it does not work nearly as nice. After reading other comments it seem like this is a re-occurring issue, now what?? Do I need to find another brand?? I really like everything about this machine, easy to use, light weight, great heat, but it needed to live longer. I feel I year is way too short of a life.

I just literally picked this unit up 2 hours ago on September 15, 2016 around 6:30 PM. I recently moved into an apartment with light colored hardwood floor and it looked great on day one until that is after about 2 months later the light colored wood now had a shade of dark brown (bacteria) disgusting. Long story short, this Bissell 1940w really cleaned my wood just after one pass, YES i said one pass. After reading all the reviews I finally chose the Bissell over the shark; and I made the right choice! I'm very picky in the performance of products I choose, and I can with confidence recommend this product to anyone. Matter of fact I advise you to buy it and try it, you won't be disappointed. Oh and good build quality as well, the plastic is pretty sturdy.

I have had my Bissell Powerfresh Steam Mop for about 3 weeks now. Have used it three times so far. What I see, I like. The cord is a decent length compared to some other models. I still have to attach an extension cord to do the entire area I need to (a combined living, dining, kitchen, hallway, bathroom and stairs going up), but that's fine. The entire product is heavy/durable plastic - would like to see more aluminum/metal/etc. for long term use, but guess that's modern manufacturing for you. The plastic probably helps with the unit to be light/portable, so that's the trade off. The unit is appealing in terms of white and blue color tones. The minute I plugged my unit in it is off to the races - this thing heated up in 15 seconds- honest. Be ready to do your work once you plug this thing in - no in between time. My old unit would take 15 minutes to get the high heat temp setting. I like how the refillable water cup is easily removed and re-inserted right in to the unit - no need for funnels, no cups to bring water to the unit and splash all over the place, etc. Very convenient. I like the three settings in temps of low, medium and high heats for different areas of cleaning/disinfection. Powers up and down very easily with setting area on the front of the lower unit - two presses and it's on or off. The unit cools very easily too. I like that it comes with two soft pads - one for heavy scrubbing and other for basic cleaning. You need two minimum as one will be in the wash and other on the machine. I bought two extra sets to be safe. I probably will get 2 more as I like my pads to clean up well and once they start looking heavily stained after many uses/washes, I toss them. I have bought the Eucalyptus scented distilled water product from Bissell earlier and will use this in the machine so, no build up happens later and causes unit issues. I agree with another reviewer that having a pad/station to rest the unit on would be nice. It heats up so fast and does need a little cooling down period that this would be nice to not cause any standing damage to the flooring. For now, I use my old docking station to the previous unit I had. The head of this mop pivots back and forth in many directions and this is a plus for betting into nooks and crannies. The low profile works great for getting under furniture pieces too. So, far I really like this piece. I am hopeful the power unit and cord does not short over time like the last two Eureka steam mops I had. I am confident Bissell will honor any issues in their warranty period. Price is good and they deliver fast too. Super easy to assemble - 2-3 steps and you are done. Fill out their warranty/registration card and should be fine. I just did mine. I give the Bissell PowerFresh Steam mop five stars!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will absolutely never use the Wet Jet or mop and bucket method for cleaning my floors, ever again. This steam mop is my new favorite household tool. Super easy to use, water in the reservoir lasts much longer than I anticipated and it cleans like no other. No streaking, spots, or weird residue left behind. Can't say enough great things about this product.
