[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good basic steam mop. No bells and whistles here. It heats up really fast, and makes a lot of nice steam. The cord is long enough that you can reach the furthest plug. The swivel head means you can get to that space behind the toilet. Does a nice job of cleaning along the baseboards. It's light enough for a small woman to carry up and down stairs. On the downside, the water tank isn't that well designed. If you have small hands, it's hard to grasp it and pull it out to fill it. You fill it from the bottom and the top is angled, so you can't set it down while you fill it. The steam controls are on the bottom part of the mop, so you have to tip it back to see them (not a huge problem). The mop locks into the upright position, but just barely. You have to be really sure before you let go. On the odd side, it makes a train-like chugging noise when it's working. Also, the carpet glide is mentioned in the Owners Manual, but no picture in the parts list, so on first assembly I was trying to figure out where it goes.

I purchased this product less than a year ago based a a recommendation from a friend. I had borrowed hers and LOVED IT, so I went to purchase my own. About 5 months ago, my friends heating element went out and stopped steaming at all. Two months after hers went out, mine went out. They are the exact same model, the 1940. I really did like the way it cleaned but I've only had it 8 months and it will not steam anymore. My Shark lasted 5 years (until I bought this one). Really disappointed =(

I will start this by saying I LOVE Bissell products. I have been using the steam mop for over 2 yrs now so I was REALLY excited to see they had come out with a new steam mop, The Powerfresh Steam Mop. So I went to order and of course the 2 pads that come with the mop are not sufficient so I was going to buy around 3 more pkgs of 2. They are not available @ this time,so I call Bissell to find out when they would be available and she says Possibly next month! So I have to wait till next month to purchase the new steam mop,so disappointed!

This was a replacement for an Oreck floor steam cleaner. The Power Fresh is so much lighter and easier to move around on the floors. Hot steam in a hurry. The steam control is great - takes all the guesswork out of choosing the temperature you need, and you don't have to worry with a steam controller while you're working. Water reservoir is adequate and is so quick and easy to refill when you run low. You WILL notice the difference in the floor surface when finished.

I bought mine in January, loved it, used it maybe 8-10 times and now it will not produce steam. It lights up and the barrel feels warm but no steam. I tried taking it apart as much as I could and putting it back together...no luck. Guess I am out my $

Had a Shark prior to this purchase that had to be pumped with the handle for steam. The Bissell is so much better with three steam settings, no pumping the handle for steam, far superior to the Shark. Does an excellent job on my tile floors. Recommend!

My laminate floors have never looked or felt better! I used to clean then on my hands and knees. This steamer is fast and cleans so much better than I could have done. The steam does leave the floor a little wet however it dries quickly without leaving streaks. Love this mop!

This is my third steam cleaner and I am happy to say the last I'll need to buy. It is so lightweight and easy to maneuver! The water tank is large enough that I can do all of the wood floors in one shot (and there are 5 of them). The fresh disc is great as it leaves just enough scent to notice but it is not overpowering. I would highly recommend this product!

I have 3000 square feet of tile in my home. Have used many products and gadgets to clean my tile. This one is the best! It leaves floor clean and fresh with no sticky residue. Attached brush gets off harder to remove stains and mop glides easily across the floor. Takes very little time to steam entire 3000 square feet. Finally found a steamer that really works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] GARBAGE There's a reason Bissell gets negative reviews. I used it three times and it stopped working. It just makes a knocking sound and no steam. I'm returning it. Selling garbage products like this is thievery. Bissell, you need to start selling quality products and stop stealing from the American people.
