Recently received my new Bissell Steam Mop, got it put together quickly and plugged it in. It heated up right away, and since it already had a mop pad installed, filled the water container and started mopping. It mops great, I have a pattern in my vinyl which does collect dirt in some places but this mop made short work of it. I love it. Really like the 3 steam levels and it works quickly in getting rid of dirt.

I will start this by saying I LOVE Bissell products. I have been using the steam mop for over 2 yrs now so I was REALLY excited to see they had come out with a new steam mop, The Powerfresh Steam Mop. So I went to order and of course the 2 pads that come with the mop are not sufficient so I was going to buy around 3 more pkgs of 2. They are not available @ this time,so I call Bissell to find out when they would be available and she says Possibly next month! So I have to wait till next month to purchase the new steam mop,so disappointed!

Having cleaned my tile floors with my tried and true method of mopping, I was at first hesitant to try something new. How could this device do a better job than my trusty old "Cuban Mop?" Well.....it does! Hands down this product is amazing. Not only are my floors clean, they're disinfected as well (due to the steaming action). No more hassles wringing out the towel, sloshing water about the house. Now it's as simple as filling the reservoir, clicking the on button and we're off to a cleaner and healthy floor. If you are looking for steam cleaning mop, look no further than this product. You'll be glad you did.

I would strongly warn you against this product. I assume that I received a defective one, but do not trust a replacement as I have read other complaints about this same issue. It does not seem to heat the water very well. It produced sufficient steam for about 5 min and then left my floors sopping wet! Whatever you do, do not use on your wood floors! I am disappointed in the quality of this product and trusted in the Bissell name.

I have been wanting a steam mop for a while,but I knew they can be pricey,so I was holding on,but recently I decided it's time,so I started my research and this Bissell 1940 came on top,what really sold me was people's review on how quickly and effectively it cleans dogs drool,which I needed because I have 2 drooly dogs,and it's affordable,so I took the iaunch,and I am thrilled I did,I love the way the steam lifts the dry drool from my tile floor,without much effort,I had to scrub with my regular mop,to remove it.Im excited to clean my floors again,whereas before it was a dreaded chore.As of now I am very happy with my investment,thank you for making a great product.

i bought this product a couple of months ago.. I've noticed it doesn't clean 50% of the dirt on my floor.. What really bothers me about this product is the pads! They are already ripped and stained! I bought 4 replacement pads and those are already ripped and stained too! I feel like I've spent more on the pads than I did on the steam mop. I should've bought a better steam mop with all of the money I have spent on the pads alone!

Works well on tile and even cleans the edges. A few suggestions for the engineering department. A steam trigger on the handle would enable the user to have control over when to release the steam and an on/off switch is highly recommended. Overall, very pleased with the performance.

I love how easy this mop is to use! It's very lightweight and doesn't require any backbreaking scrubbing to get stuck-on spots off the floor. The power fresh discs smell wonderful too. The discs have the option of placing an entire disc or half a disc in the mop cover depending on how much "scent" you want. The only reason I only gave 4 stars was because there isn't an on/off switch. Plugging it in and unplugging it is the only way to completly turn it off/on. The buttons on the front allow you to pick how much steam you want. I have 3 dogs and a toddler and my tile floors have never been this clean!

This was a replacement for an Oreck floor steam cleaner. The Power Fresh is so much lighter and easier to move around on the floors. Hot steam in a hurry. The steam control is great - takes all the guesswork out of choosing the temperature you need, and you don't have to worry with a steam controller while you're working. Water reservoir is adequate and is so quick and easy to refill when you run low. You WILL notice the difference in the floor surface when finished.
