Used my new Bissell Powerfresh steam mop for the first time on my tile floor. It was easy to assemble and an absolute pleasure to use. It did a great job cleaning, even those protein stains from my pets' eye goobers. Even steamed out some old grout stains.

Steam functionality of this unit OK, but scrub brush isn't effective for cleaning tile grout. The scrubber can't get low enough or be positioned for that purpose. It would work better for scrubbing something sticky off of a level floor. I returned this unit and ordered a PowerFresh Deluxe model instead. That has a scrubber at the end of the detachable steamer portion. That unit does not include the rug ring, which this one does. Because I didn't realize that this unit already came with a carpet ring, I had purchased a rug ring with extra pads. I will use those with the PowerFresh Deluxe instead, as the two units have the same size head. Bissell could do a better job of detailing the differences between the units and their bundle offers. The compare function doesn't provide sufficient information.

I bought the PowerFresh® Steam Mop 1940 about a month ago based on great reviews. They are all true!! I was able to put together intuitively in a couple minutes. Only need one Phillips screwdriver for the one screw, and ready to go. The water tank is easy to remove and I can do my entryway, bathrooms, kitchen and laundry and still have water left in tank. I use R.O. water, and when I'm finished, I empty the tank and leave it out to dry out and wipe any excess water around where it fits to unit. Then throw the mophead, which you can easily remove by the pull tab, so as not to burn your hand., into the washing machine on hot water with just detergent, and you're done!!! It's as easy to use as it was to put together. The people here at Bissell have really been helpful, as I had a lot of questions before purchasing. I give it 5 stars, but it really deserves more!! Loved this product when I first got it. So much so that I let 2 of my family members borrow it and then ended up purchasing one of their own. Unfortunately at almost exactly a year after purchasing it started leaking water and shooting steam out the back. I continued to use it very carefully for a few more months. This morning I attempted to use it and it just poured water out the bottom. My floor was a sopping wet mess, and the steamer is in the garbage. Given the cost of the product, I'm extremely disappointed in the product life. If you decide to buy this product, just know you'll likely be repurchasing in a year.

I have both the PowerFresh® Steam Mop Hard Floor Steam Cleaner | 1940 and the PowerEdge™ Lift-Off® Steam Mop Hard Surface Steam Cleaner | 20781. A couple of things that really stand out about this steamer - I like the stand on the PowerFresh. Although I realize that my PowerEdge doesn't really need it (it's a triangle shape) but I always feel like the PowerFresh stays a little cleaner because it has more distance from the floor to allow for the bottom to dry. I have not really used the scent discs much. I used them early on but haven't for a while. They are REALLY strong. I usually wet the pad I use and put a little floor cleaner on it. I love that I don't have to use more grip strength to keep the mop making steam. (The PowerEdge does require that.) The PowerFresh came with two pads. The one without grips is easier to use on gummy or grimy surfaces. BUT the one with grips, really does help clean messes. I have used this time and again to clean a floor in our basement as we have been remodeling it. While this product is a straight floor steamer and doesn't have the extra attachments (like the PowerEdge) for using it on anything but floors, it is able to squeeze in some tighter areas - around toilets, etc. I have not used the little brush on the back much.

I purchased this steam mop about 3 weeks ago and have used it every week since when doing my weekly cleaning. It was incredibly easy to put together and just as easy to use. I am following the recommendation of using distilled water to prolong it's life. I have had 2 other steam mops prior to this one by a different manufacturer and i have to say this is by far a more superior product. I love the feeling of knowing that my floors are as clean as possible - my boyfriend thinks I am obsessed with it - LOL

This is a great steam mop. The scent discs give off a nice fragrance. I have ordered extra pads, so I always have an extra set. I can clean all my floors fast with just the right amount of steam with the adjustable steam levels. No residue, clean floors, nice smell after, you really can't go wrong.

This is hands down the BEST cleaning product that I have ever used! I just cleaned my limestone kitchen floor and it transformed it from 15 years of blackened grout back to the original beige! My family even commented on how smooth and how different the tiles feel under our feet now. (The professional cleaners I have used over the years did not even achieve this result!!) I didn't realize how dirty the floor was until I used this simple tool. It took me several hours because my kitchen is on the large side, but I went above and beyond since the results were satisfying. It's the perfect task during quarantine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] had shark mops x 2 and they died within a year. this Bissel 1940 has been great. The water tank lid broke so now having to order a replacement, other than that it has been great. i don't use it every day, but for me it has served me well.

What a great, fantastic, amazing wonder!!!! I used it three times already, so easy to use, makes the floors shiny and really clean!!! Get rid of your mops and buckets!!! You have to buy this. I use filtered water, and put a few drops of scented soap in it and the house smells like heaven!!! Plus, I throw the pad in warm water with a little detergent and it is clean and ready for the next use. Thank you BISSELL
