I have 6 dogs and also offer a bed and breakfast for other people's dogs when they go on vacation. Needless to say, someone always has an accident. . After cleaning up the mess, I will take out my Steamer and proceed to sanitize the area.. It smells great after the job is done. I am thinking of buying another unit for my kennels in my walk out basement. It does a great job!!!

I have two chihuahuas so I clean the floors everyday. Dragging around a bucket and mop is no fun anymore at my age so I decided I was going to try the PowerFresh Steam mop. What a great cleaning tool! I can clean the kitchen and all three bathroom floors every morning in less than 20 minutes and everything really smells clean. No detergents anymore! After having the steam mop for a week, I decided to try it on the finished wooden floors. It removed all the old residue from the detergents and made the floors squeaky clean! The PowerFresh 1940 steam mop is definitely worth every penny! It makes my life a lot easier and the floors have never been cleaner!!!

I purchased this steam mop because I had new laminate and tile installed in a home I recently purchased. Nothing I tried seemed to really clean both surfaces really well. I as so glad I decided to give this mop a try. It works great on both surfaces. Really easy to use. Glad I made this purchase!!

Love this, cleans very well and the scent pad smells the whole house up fresh and clean. Heats quickly for a fast steam and gets the job done quickly. I would recommend this steam mop in a heart beat. I took back my Shark mop, because it took longer to use that than mopping the old fashion way and did not clean like the Bissell PowerFresh Steam Mop. You will not be dissatisfied with this mop.

I have scrubbed with a sponge mop for years and we live hard in the country so track in lots of garden gunk. I always thought lots of soap/cleaner did the trick, but sometimes things looked dull. My kitchen/dining area is quite large so I tried separating the sections and did the kitchen 1st. I was amazed at how it got the dull stuff off. I need a new floor as this vinal is 21 years, but until I do this has restored the clean and shine as best it can. Love it and it is as light as my olf stick mop.

Stopped steaming after 7 months, did all the trouble shooting, only used distilled water and was told because I didn't buy their cleaner they would not cover the warranty. No where in the manual does it state to use only Bissell cleaner, it recommends using distilled water which is what I did! Worked great while it lasted. Will never purchase a Bissell product again!

This mop worked great for about 8 months and it suddenly stopped working. It still heats up, but the steam isn't coming out fast enough to clean my floors. It won't even dampen the mop cover. I'm really upset that this thing just stopped for no apparent reason. I wouldn't buy it again.

After two back surgeries scrubbing the floors in my home became an all day job and one I paid for two days after. No, longer able to hand scrub and dry, I went to a standard mop. My floors never seemed as clean and went longer between cleanings, because it had become such a painful chore. NO MORE!! and I will never be without this product in my home. I can't rave about this steam cleaner enough and I am thrilled to have taken back my standard of clean in my home.

Steam functionality of this unit OK, but scrub brush isn't effective for cleaning tile grout. The scrubber can't get low enough or be positioned for that purpose. It would work better for scrubbing something sticky off of a level floor. I returned this unit and ordered a PowerFresh Deluxe model instead. That has a scrubber at the end of the detachable steamer portion. That unit does not include the rug ring, which this one does. Because I didn't realize that this unit already came with a carpet ring, I had purchased a rug ring with extra pads. I will use those with the PowerFresh Deluxe instead, as the two units have the same size head. Bissell could do a better job of detailing the differences between the units and their bundle offers. The compare function doesn't provide sufficient information.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this steam mop. I bought it after becoming pregnant to use less chemicals while cleaning. It cleans way better than any regular floor mop. It unfortunately stopped working after about 7 months. After contacting customer service, they replaced my steam mop. They were easy to work with and responded promptly. I will forever be a Bissell customer!
