We were about to hire someone to steam clean our entire home, almost 2,000 Sq ft of tile for around $700+. I ordered this steam mop and did our floors in 1 full day, including moving furniture and area rugs. The cleanest they've been since home was built. This is a very good value for those who like to live debt free.

I have hardwood floors throughout my 3500 sqft house and it has always been so difficult to get them all clean at the same time. This mop cleans quickly and efficiently. It leaves NO STREAKS (YAY!) and a super clean finish. When the scented pads wore out (they came as a sample with the mop) I started using a few drops of lemon essential oil on the mop pad. It makes the whole house smell good! This mop is compact and easy to store. I can't say enough good things about it. I even steamed the soap scum off of my glass shower doors with it!

I live in Florida and have my new home in tile and ceramic flooring (1800 sq. ft.). The 1940 steam cleaner is the best thing I have ever used. I have two boxer dogs and this steam is fantastic and keeps the grout clean as well. Actually just had my friend from Canada get one today.

Very happy with this mop. I researched to see what would best serve my needs and this is the clear winner. It was affordable, lightweight, easy to assemble, and had a two year warranty. I have two dogs, one of which is a messy eater. The mop cleans the tile with no streaking. I have not tried it on the engineered hardwood floor yet but I will. I did clean a couple of small rugs and it worked well without leaving them soaking wet. The fact that it uses distilled water only and disinfects while it cleans, is a bonus. I dislike using commercial floor cleaners that are full of chemicals. I would recommend this handy appliance to all.

I love the steamer. I have all tile floors and I find it the best way to clean my floors. I have been using it every 2 weeks and then it just stopped working!! Is there some sort of cleaning or maintenance I should be doing? I would have rated higher, until it stopped working!!

I always dreaded cleaning my tile floors. Using this steam mop makes this job so much easier. I was really impressed at the amount of steam and the way it lifted my spots off the floor. It was so easy to use that I proceeded to clean my wood floors as well on steam level one. Loved the smell of the Eucalyptus water.

Still Loving my Powerfresh 1940 steam mop and I've had it for 2 years! It is easy to use, lightweight enough so my hands can handle it with no problems. My hands have very bad arthritis and carpal tunnel so I can't handle anything heavy. My cleaning lady loved it so much she has bought one for her business as well!

This is my first experience with a steam mop and I love it. It's light weight, easy to manuever, heats up quickly and the floor dries quickly. Love the scrub brush as well for tough spots. It's great for small areas or large and being able to wash the pad when done is really nice. The different temperature/steam options is handy as well. I was surprised at how long the water reservoir lasted too. I could mop my kitchen, dining room and foyer on one tank and no streaks!! I would definitely recommend this product.

Just purchased yesterday. Kitchen was remolded one week ago with tile floors. Cleaned beautifully. Next, cleaned tile bathrooms, cleanest ever. This morning, cleaned my hardwood floors in hall and great room, I'm impressed. Easy to operate, long running time and cleans great. Just toss pad in washer when done. I've thrown away my regular mop. Would not hesitate to recommend. Best product I've purchased since my instant pot, lol.

I have had 3 Bissell steam mops. The first I owned over 15 years ago, was a yellow one and it worked for years. It was the best. So when it broke down, I didn't hesitate to buy Bissell again, that one lasted maybe a year and stopped steaming. I was beyond disappointed. Then I replaced it with this power fresh steam mop and purchased extra pads ect. This one lasted less then 6 months. Steam would only come out sporadically and then it stopped all together and would just dump puddles of water on my floor. I only used distilled water in all of my machines, so the line about minerals doesn't apply to the Why Does My Steam Mop Keep Breaking. I think it is how these machines are manufactured not always customer error. Maybe Bissell should start to make a quality steam mop again or stop making them all together, for $200 that is just too much to waste money on. These mops seem great until there not.
