I was happily using my Bissell steam cleaner on my tile floor today and it stopped working. I use it every other week and have had it for almost 2 yrs. I can't believe it just died. I tried to figure out the problem but the light switch for the steam setting wont even turn on. Any help would be much appreciated. Maybe the Bissell fairy will mail me a new one LOL.

My first Bissell. Used this for the first time yesterday. My floors were so wet after using, with regular back and forth passes and not lingering, that I had to get a dry regular mop to get up the water. I had this problem even on the lowest steam setting. I used distilled water as recommended. I'm very disappointed because I had high hopes for this steamer since my Shark steamer quit working.

Purchased 5/23/14 PowerFresh Steam Mop & I am very satisfied with it's great cleaning power for kitchen tile and bathrooms tile and grout. It is easy & lightweight to operate especially for people with back and rotator cuff problems. I highly recommend the Bissell electric broom to pick up crumbs, hair and yard dirt before mopping. Both products are GREAT!

I researched reviews of many different brands out there and this seemed the best for my purposes. It arrived quickly and assembled easily. I had a very dirty linoleum floor in an apartment. I used this steamer with the heavy duty cleaner pad a scrubber but it did not do the job. I ultimately had to get on my hands and knees with cleaner and a scrub brush. For my "new" tile floor it works great. I would only recommend it for new and already clean floors. Not for older floors with dirty grout, etc.

I'm giving this one star based on Bissell's replacement parts and not the unit's performance. After only one use, the water tank fell on the floor and slit open the water cap. Bissell and any other online parts retailer does not have the replacement tank and cap in stock.

This product is wonderful. I have bamboo, marble, tile, and linoleum in my house. This steamer uses distilled water, heats up FAST and I love having 3 different steam levels for my different floors. It is super easy to assemble, the cord is good length for a large room, it is super easy to push and weighs little too! I did buy the extra pads, love how I can toss them into my clothes washer when done. This thing removes dirt, even stuck on sticky messes in one pass. Floor dries quick too! Haven't used the scent discs (not into the fragrance thing# Love that this is a Bissell and has the Bissell guaranty #2years). You will not regret this purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this steam mop. I bought one 5 years ago, I just went to use it and no longer worked. It probably would have lasted longer but it has been through a few moves. (Active military family) I love this mop for the simple fact that is kills bacteria naturally! Come on, you can't get better then that! It is safe for my children and pets. It doesn't leave for floor soaked. My Littles ones walk around with me as I mop. Love this mop, and the donation it does for every purchase!

Just received my PowerFresh Steam Mop the other day so today was the first time I had used it. I started with the tile floor in my bathroom. Man, was I impressed. It cleaned right up to the walls and went all under the sink and other areas. Love that swivel feature. Then I headed to the kitchen which is another tile floor. I started going with mop and it just glided to all the areas along the edges and began to clean places that I have been unable to clean because it would require getting down on my hands and knees. Just can't do that anymore. I came all around the cabinets and the mop just hugged the places under the cabinet edges and just was AMAZING!. After I came back around to the beginning I thought, "let's see what it will do in the dining room." This dining room floor has certainly seen its better days but I began. I did notice a difficulty in moving on this floor than with the tile. However, I wasn't to be swayed. I thought I will just turn around and pull it back toward me. Low and behold that was the 'trick'. It began to do some really good cleaning on the 'old' floor. I noticed how good of a job it did when I did the hearth in front of my fireplace. Then I was through. Boy, was that pad filthy! One may think they have gotten their floors clean but the pad tells the tale. Now I have an idea for what I shall do next. Since it is truly Spring it is time to put out the cushions on the outdoor furniture. The porch will need to be swept and cleaned. So, since I have a nice new front porch I am going to use my Steam Mop on the front porch. I thought this will really make it SPARKLE! My only complaint is why didn't I order this much sooner. Thanks for the simple guide to putting it together and also for the additional pad and the two discs. I will try the discs but they will be too expensive to keep refilling probably. I am excited to discover that the on/off switch for the Steam Mop isn't really necessary if the button is selected the 4th time. Then it just sorta 'rests' while I am moving something so that I can mop in that place. I believe that this Steam Mop will truly be a life saver and I can hardly wait to try it on one of the lower levels to see how it does. I used the highest because I wanted to see the mop in ACTION. Sure there was a bit of extra water but on high and the floors really needing a good cleaning I didn't mind. Matter of fact, as I write this note...the floors are already dry. Now that is AWESOME!

I just used my new steam mop for the first time yesterday on my hardwood floors, and I am extremely impressed. We have three labs and they are experts and tracking in dirt and mud on the hardwood floors. Swiffering worked, but this is 100% better. I was able to clean my floors in 1/2 the time because the steam mop really gets the floors clean without having to repeatedly go over areas more than once. I just ordered the mineralized water and can't wait to try it. I would highly recommend this steam mop for cleaning hard floors (sealed hardwood and tile).

I bought this Steam Mop to replace my Shark that quit working. I have only used the Bissell once as I just received it a short time ago. I like it very much--seems to do a better job and gets down to the grout. Looking forward to using it for a long time.
