I used a sponge mop & bucket for over 25 years and never felt that my floors were really clean. I started doing research on steam mops, and this one was the all around best. I have 20+ year old linoleum and wood floors, so I was a little concerned about using a steam mop. However, when I tried it, I was amazed. No, my linoleum doesn't look brand new, but it does look YEARS newer than it did. As for the wood floors, I had read a lady's review saying that the steam mop stripped the finish off of her wood floor, and maybe it did. When I first tested a spot on my wood floor, I thought it was stripping the finish, too. What I soon realized was that it was actually stripping away years of build-up from cleaners, etc. My wood floors now look brand new! My whole family - my husband, daughter, and son - can all see the difference and FEEL the difference on bare feet! The only "negative" thing I can say is that it doesn't work well in corners or tight spaces (like around toilets). Maybe the triangle foot would work better, but I haven't decided to spend the money on it yet. It does work great right up to baseboards and/or toe moldings. I don't know why I waited twenty-five years to get rid of that nasty mop and bucket; I'm just glad I finally did! My floors are finally truly clean!

I am in a wheelchair and have a hard time with the bigger cleaning equipment, with this machine it is so easy to use even my 6 year old loves it. The water tank is so light weight that even filled it's easy to change/add water. Works excellent on bamoo flooring without stripping vaneer so still looking like new

I purchased this steam mop six months ago and it works great. The only problem I have had is the leaking. When I took off the bottle with water, I saw the cap was broken. I had to order a replacement. INstead of Bissell shipping the free air freshner, they should ship a couple of twist on cap for the water tank.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Small water container.. can't control the water flow.. the sound is annoying.. the steam is zero. This thing left so much water on the floors to just dry. I am taking it back and getting a different one. I like the longer cord but that's it.. worst design so far...

I just bought it today and I cleaned my wood and tile floors. The floors dried quick, no streaking, and I love how much longer the cord is compared to other steam mops. When I notice it had a scent disc I thought to myself I won't be using these, what a waste. But I popped one in and it smelled great. The scent last for a couple of hours.So far so good! I hope this will continue to be a good experience.

I did purchased a second Power Fresh steam mop in case this one quits. It is the best steam mop I have ever used. My floors are totally clean when I am finished mopping. I did find if you have smooth tile which we added to the master bath, it will streak. If you have textured tile which I have all over the bottom floor of our home it does not streak. I highly recommend this steam mop. The Shark I had before was not nearly as good as this one. When you take the cloth off the bottom of this cleaner it is so hot. I know my floors are getting a good cleaning. Maureen B.

I have to replace the reservoir caps frequently. I just replaced yet another cap, (that was installed probably 4 months ago) again today after the entire reservoir dumped water on my floor, and had to use pliers to remove the broken cap that was stuck in steamer. After putting on yet another new cap, water still leaked out. I am now shopping for another steamer. I have bought and used 5 caps now, and I'm not buying anymore.

This mop does a great job and is surprisingly inexpensive for the quality. My mom bought this for me as a gift and we have enjoyed cleaning our hardwood and tile floors with it. We have not had any issues with streaking on our natural hardwood floors. The water reservoir is not hard to remove (do not agree with other posts that said it was hard to remove). Cord is long. We went ahead and ordered an extra set of mop pads to have when/if the ones it comes with tire out.

Used this for almost 4 years! Cleans tile with ease. Great to use to freshen carpets when using the carpet glider! Recommend using only distilled water as hard water will clog the water flow and shorten the life span. This is true for all of this type of steamer. Have arthritis in arms and spine, this steamer is the best one I have used! Makes the floors feel so clean and fresh. The washable pads clean up easily! Recommend having several and using a bucket to put the dirty ones in so you only have to wash the pads once a week.

5 stars for customer service. 3 stars for the steam mop due to reliability issue. The steam mop could have been a 5-star if it did not break down less than 18 months. Luckily I'm still within the 2-yr warranty. So the jury is still out on the reliability issue. With that said, the steam mop cleans very well, especially on tiles. I also have used on laminated hardwood floor (on medium setting thou). Overall, it reduces the cleaning time from 30 mins to 15 mins compared to the traditional mop. I highly recommend this steam mop to anyone out there. Register your steam mop so you can take advantage of the warranty. Customer service is great. Just one phone call and Bissell is sending me a new steam mop. I did buy the mop directly from bissell.com.
