Steam Mop Model 1940 works as I expected, very well. Pros: When received it was easy to setup and ready to use in 10 minutes or less. Removing canister and filling with H20 was simple. After plugging it in ( will discuss this later) a short time about 30 seconds it was ready to use. Swivel head makes it easy to get in close quarters for cleaning. A great feature. All & all I would rate this portion 10 stars Cons: In order to turn off the mop you must yank the cord from the electrical outlet from across the room you just finished cleaning. Why no switch on the mop ? Bad bad bad design. This was a big disappointment. Overall rating only 5 stars.

i recently purchased the Power Fresh Seam Mop 1940 and just love it. It is easy to use, lightweight and cleans my floors with ease. It really does a great job on my hardwood floors. I also have ceramic tile which it also did a great job. I let my neighbor borrow it for her floors and she loved it and ordered one.

This machine has 3 settings for steam which I like. I've only used it twice but so far I am very happy with it. My last one (another brand) had a trigger that you had to hold in to keep it running. That got tiring. The mop cover has elastic to hold it on the head securely. My old one did not. So this machine gets my vote!

I love my new Bissell floor cleaner. My floors are so clean and the scent discs leave the entire room with a fresh scent. I also enjoy the ease of filling the water tank with the cup that was included. Hard to remove floor stains are easily removed with hot steam and mop pads.

The PowerFresh Steam Mop Hard Floor Cleaner 1940 was my favorite thing I had ever encountered for cleaning my wood floors. It would work fast and efficiently at cleaning even the toughest of messes! After using for a year and approximately 3 months it started making a whistling noise and dripping water out of the main compartment. In addition the steamer has quit working and I no longer am able to use this for cleaning my floor. It is really frustrating. Unless you can afford to purchase one of these every year to replace the previous (WHICH I CANNOT), I would not recommend this product.

I had a first-generation Eureka steamer that I loved but it had reached its end and I needed another. After reading the reviews on all the steamers out there, I opted for the Bissell, a decision I do not regret. It puts down more water than the Eureka did, which means the floors take longer to dry, but it does an excellent job. I especially like that you have two types of cleaning pads. The fragrance disks, though, are way too intense and I will not be using them again.

I've had this steam mop for only a few weeks. Until then, I always used a mop to clean my floors. I generally dislike cleaning, but do it regularly and begrudgingly. So, if there is a way to make cleaning require minimal effort for maximum cleanliness - I'll do it. Enter my idea to try a steam mop after having changed another filthy mop head, which I realized was probably just moving dirt around the floor, rather than cleaning them. I have hardwood throughout the apartment, plus porcelain tile in the bathroom. I have a small apartment in NYC, so space is at a premium. I did a lot of research to find a good product that is also compact and very affordable. In this case - Bissell won. (I also have the Bissell Bolt Pet Vacuum, which is great and compact). This thing really cleans! It's amazing how much dirt was on the floor after using it the first time. I also have a puppy who likes to munch on treats and food on the floor - while licking up the crumbs. So a clean floor is important, plus no chemicals! Although I don't know the functional difference between the regular version and the pet version, this product is amazing! I also like ordering Bissell's pet products because, for every purchase, Bissell donates to animal charity.

I ordered the Bissell PowerFresh Steam Mop because the Shark did not last ( a HUGE waste of $$$). So, because of the reviews when I did research the Bissell seemed the way to go. WRONG! Because, the HAAN that I had (like a dummy I let my housekeeper buy it from me) and it is great on tile and sealed hardwood! That I bought a SHARK and they don't last because the heating element will heat, but, no steam for the floor or tile! A WASTE! So, now I am to this Bissell and you have to read the fine print on page 8 "that it may result in a diminished glossiness"! DIMINISHED my foot! I AM LIVID that the other steamers will work on all floors #just won't last# and now my hardwood looks TERRIBLE!! I will not recommend this product to anyone. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED!! Another waste of good money!

My wife has instructed me to throw this PowerFresh Steam Mop into the trash after the black plastic cap on the water reservoir cracked again. This is the second replacement cap. Otherwise, the unit is fairly new, less than two years and works great. But with no water, it's useless.

Believe it or not, I won this steam mop.I really didn't believe it until I received it and tried it out the same day.I was amazed how easy it was to use and light weight because I have debilitating arthritis. It cleaned our floors so well that I got compliments on how clean it was. I am really please with the Power Fresh Steam Mop and have recommended it to others.
